Walking!

It is official... my baby girl isn't a baby anymore. Shes growing up into a big girl so fast that is amazes me with every passing day. My heart swells with pride, but weeps for not being able to get those baby days back. I love when she still lets me do "baby things" with her... sometimes she likes to lay on my lap and cuddle with me when she drinks her milk. Watching someone see the world for the first time and learn about new things is such a miracle. I still remember the first time I took her outside and she was fascinated by a tree and I just stood there holding her and telling her, "That is a tree. It grows in the ground. There are different kinds of trees. Birds live in trees." and all kinds of stuff like that. And the first time it snowed and I bundled her up and took her outside and watched her stare in awe at the little falling snowflakes as they fell and melted on her soft baby skin. And her first airplane ride where she stared out the window as I showed her the clouds and how big the world is around us and how even though we are so small in comparison to everything, there is no one in the entire world just like her. She is uniquely special. I don't know what I have done in my life to deserve the wonderful life I live right now with such an amazing daughter. I am truly blessed. She does so much now! Here is a short list of Anna's accomplishments and just fun facts:

*Walking! She crawls faster than she can walk, so if she is really in a hurry she will crawl. But she is finally a pro at walking and is her way of getting around 90% of the time.

*She is completely on cow's milk. I started her at 11 months on half formula and half milk and have been slowly taking the formula out. Now she is on cow's milk and has had no problems with it! Her favorite foods are waffles and green apples. Shes become a little bit of a picky eater. Her father is a picky eater, too... but in a completely different way. I am lucky that Anna loves veggies, fruits, and pasta above ALL things. She likes sweets, but not too much.

*Knows some baby sign language. She knows "more" and "milk" above all else! We are working on doing "all done", "eat" and "drink". After we are done learning the meal time sign language, we are going to work on bed time sign language. I waited a long time to start teaching the baby sign language because I wanted to make sure that she talks more than signs. Which brings me to....

*The child doesn't stop talking ever!!! *lol* She is actually starting to put together sentences. And she picks up on words very fast. On her birthday I taught her 'balloon' and every day she wakes up and finds the balloons in the dining room and points and says, 'balloon!'. She knows momma, dada, kitty, thank you, bye bye, milk, juice, yum, uh-oh, duck, quack, baby, no, uh-huh, pretty, and a ton of other words I can't even begin to list because it would take up 2 pages. If you ask her what sound a ducky makes, she says, "quack quack!" its soooo stinking cute! She repeats a lot of what people say, so I have to warn people to not swear around her. Because she will repeat it. She won't remember it, but will repeat it.

*She throws temper tantrums like a 3 year old. My daughter is a pistol. She wants her way... she wants her way... and she wants her way. If she doesn't, she will let you know that she is pissed! I don't have the daughter that wants to play tea party and princess... I have the daughter that wants to run around and see how high she can climb and jump off of things. Shes is a daredevil!! I'm going to have my hands FULL with this child!! But she loves to laugh, and loves to make people laugh. She knows when she is being cute, she knows when she is being funny, and she loves to be the center of attention. If you take out a camera and go to take a picture of her, she gives you a big cheesy smile! So cute. But I'm scared of the teenage years. She is definitely little miss independent! The boys better look out for this one.
