Aubrey-Ann`s birthstory
Well, i started getting contractions around 4 30 am on saturday the 21st. they weren`t horrible, but coming about 10 min apart. got up to pee and i felt other stuff come out of me. it was watery and slimy. i just thought it was mucus. cause it wasnt a lot. I went out onto the couch to lay down so i wouldnt wake the hubby. got up like twice to pee and the same thing happened. so then i thought maybe I`m leaking. i`ll just let my hubby sleep one more hour, cause that`s when his alarm was going to go off. well, that never happend, cause I went over to the kitchen table, and I felt even more poor out of me. I went in and told brian he needed to get up, it was time to go for the hospital. so he got up, jumped in the shower quick while i called the dr. and found some clothes. by the time I was getting dressed, well, it was pooring out of me, all over the floor. it was like in the movies. lmao.
we got to the hospital about 8 am, and they hooked me up to pitocin at about 9. I was only one centimeter, but since my water broke and I tested positive for strep b, they had to get her out in a decent amount of time. all day the kept jacking up the pitocin. they gave me sedital, i dont think thats how you spell it. anyway, that was okay, made me feel drunk for about 30 min, but that`s it. didn`t really take the pain away. by the evening time. I was in so much pain, and they couldn;t give me anything else. I was only at three cent. stuck there. I wasnt far enough to get an epidural. dr. said the babys head couldn`t even come down and hit the cervix, and that he believes that my pelvis is just too small. He waited another hour, with the pitocin jacked all the way up. the contractions were horrible, but he saied if they didn`t make me progress, then she just wasn[t going to come out from down there.
he came back and of course. no change. so they started prepping for the c section. the spinal wasnt too bad. I was sooo scared. but it wasn`t too painful, and honestly it wouldn`t have been anything compaired to those pitocin induced contractions.
they went under way with the c section. all went well. hearing her cry was the most wonderful sound I have ever heard. she`s beautiful, and I would go through it all a million times over without a hesitation.
dr said he remcomends a c section from now on for me, because of my pelvis size. so i`;m thankfull to have experienced that rush of going to the hospital cause its time, and my water fully breaking, and the horrible pain of labor. I will gladly just take a ceserian next time, because I know how it will end anyway.
she`s here, she`s beautiful, and my husband and I are in love. :)
