Adara-Helena-Lilian`s birthstory

The morning of 4 June I was at L&D for the Cervadil and started cramping right away. I went back 6 hrs later for the check up and I was thinning nicely. At about 7pm my contractions started to really hurt. They were about 4 min apart when my water broke )with meconium) at home at about 8pm. They came on fast and furious. By 8:30pm I arrived at the hospital with contractions that were 1.5 min apart and OMG did they ever hurt!!! I was checked at 9pm and was 4 cm, however they noticed then that the baby was breach. I was given laughing gas to help with pain! Still did not make me laugh!!

They called in the Emergency C Section team, we were all waiting around for the guy with the good drugs, then they realized that no one had called him!! I was so mad!! They gave me the catheter with no anesthetic during a friggin contraction!! ( Most pain I have ever felt in my life) since they thought that they wouldn`t have much time once the anesthesiologist arrived.

Once he arrived things went very quickly. The baby pooped on the Dr when he pulled her out! It was really funny.

The only thing that really sucked in the whole thing was that my incision got infected! it was more painful than the labour itself. I was on IV antibiotics and 2 different antibiotic pills. it was really bad. They said that if I had of waited another day to go back to the hospital I probably would have died as the infection would have gotten into my blood. So I am just happy to be alive and with my new daughter!!
