Pregnancy JOURNAL 2006-2007
♥Hi Everyone,
My name is Lilliannette but everyone calls me Lilly!! I got married September 2nd, 2006 to my best friend of 10 years. Juan and I were high school sweethearts when we started going out. I was 15 and he was 16, and I would have never imagined that this young teenager was going to be my husband today!!!
How did I find out I was pregnant? Well I didn't know I was pregnant until I missed my period the end of September, and I am always on time with my period. I took a Response pregnacy test at home in the morning and I got a double line. I just couldn't believe it, honestly pregnancy was the last thing on my mind.LOL I took another one in the evening which was the EPT test and it read "Pregnant". Even that didn't convince me so I went to the doctors the following day and told them that I might be pregnant and they drew my blood and the following day I got a call, it was October 2nd, and they said "Mrs. Alicea you are definitly pregnant!!!" You're about three and half weeks pregnant. I would have never imagined it because I did not have one symptom what so ever. I guess I was pretty lucky.
We were both really shocked that a few days of being married, I got pregnant. I didn't think I was going to get pregnant that fast. LOL My husband was extatic as he wanted to have kids right away. I wanted to wait a little bit but God has his plans. I was very happy because I married the love of my life and we are now going to be a family. Being that we have been together for so long, we have finished school, went to college, enjoyed our life, then got married, and finally have a baby on the way. We are finally going to be complete!!!!.
I am due May 30th - June 5th, but for some reason I have this feeling the baby will be born in June!! My stomach is growning little by little.LOL I am not used to it as I am a dance teacher and have to maintain a good weight. It is so funny at times when I demonstrate a turn to my students, I feel like I am going to topple over.LOL I still don't know how I am going to teach a choreography the next few months, but I will manage! It will keep me fit for sure.LOL
(Well, I was wrong she came earlier than expected, April 13th, 2007.)
I do have a few testing coming up due to my family history. I have a brother with Jarcho-Leven Syndrome and my youngest brother is deaf. So far so good with all testing especially the quad screening which came out fine, I pray for a Healthy baby, no matter what!
I found out on January 9th that it is a girl and I got my wish! I am very active in the performing arts, and I always interact mostly with girls.LOL Not only that, my husbands brother had three boys and I grew up an only girl surrounded by three brothers. My father had 10 brothers and three sisters. We are a big family but mostly boys. I am so happy to have a girl as this will be the first grand-daughter on both our side of the family! Hooray!!!!.
My husband and I heard the heart beat at 15 weeks and we both had water in our eyes. It is absolutely amazing!! I love my Husband to pieces! He has been so supportive and caring towards me. I consider myself pretty lucky as I haven't vomitted nor felt sick. I do get alot of headaches and backpains though. And I sure get alot of sinus problems.LOL My husband always tries so hard to make me feel better!!

***Hospital Experience***
Fluid issue:
The doctors do not have an explanation to why I had low fluids. They are still checking on the placenta and I will know this week. I never leaked, I was never dehyderated because after drinking all the water in the world, the fluids still didn't go up. And the babys kidneys were fine too (Baby came out perfect, active, breathing on her own, and smiles when she sees daddy and me). I just dried up in the end and there was no choice but to take her out. I sometimes wonder if it was the Amneotic Fluid injection that they gave me earlier in the months that made her come early. But I am not going to beat around the bush over it because even the Dr.s told me that it wasn't anything wrong that I did but just a way of mother's nature way of taking it's course and that it will be easier the second time around. They also will know my history so they will be on a watch from the beginning to end.
Well I wanted to share this to all. And I am going to copy and past this on some of your VIP site because I am so tired of typing.LOL Especially having 4 IV's on my hand, and a total of 22 needles that were poked on my skin, in the end I cried and cried and cried........LOL
My C-Section Experience:
Oh God, where do I begin. The minute they told me I had to be admitted I started to cry. My husband held me for awhile and assured me that everything was going to be alright. I felt like this was all my fault and that I did something wrong. I just had all major mixed emotions. As I changed my clothes and sat on the bed, and the nurses strapped on the NST again and inserted an IV in my hand, I knew that this was it for me. The Dr. popped in about 20 minutes later to tell me that they were going to take me in about an hour (1:00pm). I began to panic. I called my mother at her job and I can hear her voice quiver as she held back her tears. She came to the hospital as soon as she could. My mother in law, Nanny, and my parents all came in just about the same time. Dr. popped in again and I held my breath, and he said "We are a little delayed and it's going to be about two more hours (3:00pm is where they had me). I was so nervous I began to laugh and laugh. The IV already had baby jaidalynn wiggeling like crazy in my belly. My husband took a picure of my belly one last time and both my mom and mother in law were already teasing me about how I was going to be in utter pain afterwards.LOL The two hours flew by so fast that when 3:00 hit the nurses came in to get me. I walked down the hall as my family followed. Gave them a kiss and of course cried some more.LOL And there I passed these huge automatic doors that opened with a key and was led right into the Surgery room. They took my husband to change into his scrubs and I just wanted all this to be over. I was so nervous about the Epidural shot. I sat indian style like they said and one of the nurses held my hand because I was whimpering. "Don't move", said the Anestisialogist, and well of course I jumped a little.LOL And felt a very fast and quick electricity volt shoot down my right leg (kind of felt like when you get an electric shock from rubbing your feet on carpet). He inserted two other shots too, not sure what it was because I wasn't paining attention to what he was saying. He asked me if my leg was warm and heavy. I said "No, not yet", so everyone waited a few. Then the Dr. put a swab of brown gunk on my belly, and I yelled "Wow, I feel that, am I suppose to feel that?". And then they called the Anestisialogist back in. He took a needle and poked my hip and I of course jumped.LOL I looked at him and said "Don't tell me that I have to take the Epidural Again". And he said "Yes, we have to red0 it but it won't hurt as much because you are half numb. Let me tell you, I was so angry and I began to cry hysterically. Calling for my husband and that I wanted to leave.LOL The nurses calmed me down and the second time it didn't hurt as bad because of course I was half numb.LOL I did feel the electricity shock again but three times I felt it on my right and left leg. As soon as they layed me back down, I felt like a rockin boat. A few minutes later, they did the needle test and I felt nothing what so ever. Thank God because when I read ZGirls story on her VIP page, it gave me the courage to speak up. I would have been brutalized!!! My husband came in a few minutes later. I was so tired and drowsy but awake. I prayed and waited and in about 20 minutes I heard a little gurgle noise of a baby. All I kept saying is, Please cry, Please breath, Please God! And I heard the Dr say, it looks like a girl, let see, Oh yes, it's a girl! And she instantly cried very loudly. I felt such relief and at that moment I just let out my cry. I was so happy, and filled with joy. My husband wiped his tears, and I had to remind him to take a picture.LOL He was so nervous, poor guy. The nurses were cleaning her up, and they all started to laugh because she decided to pee on them.LOL The nurses assured me she was fine and breathing on her own. But they were going to take her immediately to the special Delivery Nursery to check on her some more. When she came out, I felt such a breath of air. I can breath.LOL I waited another half hour or so until they were done and they sent me to the recovery room. My husband left to let my family know that everything was alright. I was so numb and tired I just wanted to sleep. My husband was calling everyone on the phone! He was a proud daddy. I was in the recovery room probably for about one hour before they strolled me out to see the baby for about 2 minutes and sent me off to one of the hospital rooms that I was going to be staying at for the next couple of days. And from there my adventure starts to begin.
The Pain Process after a C-Section :
It was painful when I got up to walk to the bathroom, I couldn't stand up straight.LOL Your hubby will be a great partner to hang on too when walking.LOL I can tell you that after the Anestetics wear off, the pain felt like I did alot sit ups the night before and it was sore. Laughing and Coughing did make the pain come worse.LOL They did put a breathing mask on me for awhile, but man there is an after effect from the shot they give you that makes your face itch like crazy. I kept scratching my face so many times and under my nose, and the nurse giggled because she was like 'Oh I was waiting for you to tell me that your face itched'.LOL She explained it happens at times as a reaction to the medicine they give me. They gave me Benedryle for it and that knocked ,e out for awhile. I did sleep but the most annoying part is those nurses that pop in every hour to check on you. They check your temperature and press on the abdomen (Man, I hated that, and I can feel my period come down so quickly too when they did that), and the also check the incision too so that I didn't get infected. Embarressing parts are when the nurses had to change your pad and clean you down there because you are a vegetable for the first night.LOL I give so much credit to these nurses that have to do that. Taking a shower was so scary. I held out on taking a shower the first two nights. I know gross! But the shower wasn't as bad as I thought, I could get the staples wet and it didn't hurt. They also put this pressure pad on my legs that made it blow up like a balloon but what it did was help to get the legs up and going again after I couldn't move them for so long, unconfortable but I didn't let it bother me because I was so tired and slept the first two days alot.
Get ready to get poked with tons of needles. I think that was the most painful part instead of the C-Section. I actually tollerated the C-section well because I didn't mind feeling like I worked out.LOL I am used to that because I am a dance teacher. My mother is stunned that by just three days after I was walking around like nothing and not complaining.LOL My mother was like 'OMG, hun, when I had you, I was in bed for a whole week in pain from the C-Section, you are so strong'. But Dr say that because I was so active I healed up in just two days, the staples were coming out on there own.
You know, if I had Baby Jaidalynn here with me at home now, any little pain I did have would go away. I have to be on the computer or clean the house, or make banners and pictures to keep myself from crying or feeling some pain or keep my mind off. I miss her so much, and I forget that I am not pregnant at times, and say Man I don't feel her move.LOL I think it's harder for me that she isn't here. I have to breast pump without her here every three hours, take the milk to the hospital, visit her there and feel so unconfortable because the nurses do most of the work and you feel helpless. Though some of the nurses do try to help me, but I can't have a nurse stare at me while I try to change the diaper, feed her, or just monitor us, so unconfortable. I so want her home because I know I would be so much happier.
Here is a Before and After C-Section that my husband took.
And then the After Side Effect.LOL
(I get a kick of these picture below)

**Weekly NEWS** ![]()
At 33 weeks and 2 days Baby Jaidalynn Alicea was born into the world. God gave me such a beautiful gift, and I love her so much. My water Fluid did not rise up and by the end I was all dried up but that didn't bother her none. She was born happy and alert. We love you so much Jaidalynn Alicea.
At 32 weeks, I found out that my Baby Girl Jaidalynn is head down. What great news. But today at my Doctors visit I was rushed to the hospital and you can read all about it on my 4/6/07 32 Weeks Dr's Update Visit. I have been so sad all day today with this. And kept my mind off, while drinking water, and finishing the last of the few baby shower cards to send out. My father and the baby's godmother wanted to cheer me up so they stopped by and mounted all the rest of the baby furniture. The room looks fabulous. Still need to hang more things on the wall that will be up after the baby shower. I have also felt small contractions too still. Though the best part of this week is that I have felt her have hiccups like crazy.LOL Today she had them four times. Must be because of all the water the doctors have instructed me to to take evey hour.
I passed my Glucose Test and all the other test so far!! YAY!!
I want to thank everyone that visit's my VIP page to see how I am doing and
sending out there prayers for me.
I apologize for not writing to all so soon. Everything is just way to hectict.
