Well on Nov 24 I rele, rele wanted to go into labour cuz that was my original guess as to wen i would give birth (me and my husband made a bet) it wasnt even just that I just rele wanted to have this baby. So I tried everything, not thinkin it would work anyways, I ran up and down the stairs 4 times, lol, had a hot bath, had a few sips of red wine, had sex. Anyways I still couldn`t go to sleep, so i went and double checked everything, to make sure I was ready, went through a bunch of papers and books and stuff that i had gotten from baby classes and friends and stuff, double checked my bags, and then finally at like 12:30 i went to bed, but I couldn't fall asleep. I was just thinkig about how exciting this was, and that we were gonna be parents soon!! :) Then i started getting tired...... and then i heard a POP!!!! and it kinda felt like an elastic snappin down there! and I was thinkin.. wat just happened?? then i felt a trickle of fluid running down my leg!! but i was thinkin ahh its prbly just a false alarm! so i moved and out came a BIG gush, lol. So i said "Drew! Drew! my water just broke!" and he just turns to me and says "yea rite" and rolls back over!! Then i said "No Im SERIOUS!! u better go get me a big towel! lol. then he rele woke up. hes like " Really?" lol, he just looks at me waiting for me to say i was jokin, lol and then looked and went running, lol. Then we were sooo excited! I was in no pain at all, so I kept sitting on the toilet, waiting for the fluid to slow down a lil bit so i could get to the truck, lol. But it didn't so Drew put a garbage bag down in the truck, and then a big towel, lol. And I put a big towel between my legs and waddled to the truck with my pyjama pants in my hand, lol And off we went! We were soo excited! (I still regret not video tapeing it,lol) We called everyone and stopped at Tim Hortons so the hubby could get a coffee, lol cuz he thought he would need it!!! and since it was 1am the roads were empty, which was great, not that we were in a big hurry, cuz i was in no pain, lol. When we got there, my husband's sister was there already cuz she lives nearby. Got up to triage wearing my pjs with a huge towel in my pants, lol. they checked to make sure it was amniotic fluid, as if I didnt know, lol. And then put me in my room, and started me on oxytocine, to bring on the contractions :( The first few hours were not bad at all, the nurse was awsome, she was sooo nice. I was doing soo well the first few hours I was dialating 1cm an hour. We thought we would have a baby by early morning....WRONG! things started slowing down.. then it started getting verryyy painful, so I asked for the epidural. (5hours into it) I was sooo scared, soo i tried not to look at the tray he brought in with him ( didnt wanna see the big needle) so he had me bend over the edge of the bed, hugging my knees, or at least trying to. And Drew was there talking to me, calming me down. all i felt was the little needle to freeze the skin, it burned a bit, and then some preasure for the big needle, and i thank God that I didnt have a contraction when he was doing it, just as he was done I got one so i asked if I could move, then they got rele bad for a few mins. I couldnt have done it without my husband, he was sooo great, coaching me through the contractions, it rele rele helped. Anyways then in about a half an hour I felt nothin!!! it was amazing! I watched the contractions come strong! but felt nothing! I recommend the epidural to everyone! lol. then for hours I progressed very little... half a cm every few hours :( they had to top up my epidural a few times, cuz I started to feel the pain again. then at about 5 or 6 the epidural was maxd out, and stopped working for me :( It was terrible the pain was almost unbearable! then they started talking about c-secton :( I didnt want that but I rele wanted her out already cuz the pain. then at 8pm another doc came in and checked me, and said her head was sideways and i probly wouldnt go any farthur, but they would give me another hour. well then he was the only doctor on call and my doc was on vacation, and all these women decided to have their babies at the same time, so he didntcome back until almost 10pm! at this point my husband was even cryin cuz I was in soooo much pain, I was cryin so bad, I couldnt talk, I couldnt stop moving cuz it was unbearable. I truely thought I was gonna die, it was sad I thought I would never get to meet my baby :'( he checked me and I was no farther, I got to 8cm. Then he said emergency C-section, and then he says he's gonna explain to me wat they'r gonna do! Well then I must have gotten a burst of energy cuz I said " I dont give a shit wat ur gonna do, just get this baby OUT!!! I was sooo extremely scared that something was gonna go wrong, but i wanted it over so they rushed me in and @ 10:43 pm out came a beautiful baby girl cryin like a champ! and my husband thought it was a boy cuz its usually swollen down there, lol. But wen he told me we had a girl. I was over the moon!! I was soo happy i cried tears of joy and she is sooo gorgeous! (I did throw up just after they took her out.) then I couldnt hold her until she was an hour old cuz I was shaking soooo bad from all the meds.. and I instantly fell in Love!!! <3. All in all it was an amazing experience, un describable. and I am looking forward to doing it all again someday!!
