Savannah-Megan-Morales`s birthstory

I went in to be induced at 9am on the 30th. It took 3 miso pills to get my cervix ripe enough to start pitocin and get the labor process started. I was 2 cm and 75% effaced when the doctors decided to see how far, if at all I could progress on my own. They came in to check me every two hours. I had only porgressed 3-4 cm by 6am so they started me on pitocin. I was starting to feel LOTS of pain as soon as I hit 4cm, so I asked for an epidural. After they gave me an epidural, my contractions became tolerable. I went from 4cm to 10cm in 4 hours. My epidural wore off, so i asked for more medication. They ended up giving me 2 more doses of meds in my epidural, but my body rejected both doese. I started pushing at 12pm unmedicated and hurting like hell! The doctors told me that they believed that the baby was too big for my body, and that they could try to help her out with suction, or I could go the `safer` route and have a c-section. I decided that I was going to push my baby out on my own, and that I was not going to waste all of the hard work and pain that I had already been through. I was able to push my little girl down far enough for them to be able to put the suction onto her head. I delivered a healthy 8lb 4oz baby girl at 1:52 pm. I could not think of a better way to spend my New Years Eve. Natural child birth was the worst pain I have ever been through, but I would do it again in a heartbeat for my little girl.
