Harlee-Grace`s birthstory
Well, I was 2 days overdue with no dialation or changes at all...so needless to say I was very unhappy. My husband took me to eat at Red Lobster and then we rented a movie. I had just been to the doctor that day and no progress was being made and he just made me a appointment for the next week and said we would talk inducing then...so I was SUPER upset and miserable! About halfway through our movie I got up to go to the bathroom and I heard a sound like a popped balloon and as I went to the bathroom some water came out. It wasn`t a gush though so I didn`t really say anything, I thought `wishful thinking` and went back to the movie. I got up again in about 30 mins and lots of water trickled down my legs I told my husband I think my water broke and he didn`t believe it (neither did I at this point either) So we looked it up on this website and decided to go ahead and go to the hospital to check and see- I fully expected to be sent home!! Boy, was I surprised when she said `Yep, your water broke!!`
After I got into a gown and they did my vitals and started the IVs, pitocin was started to bring on my contractions. Well, in 30 mins I asked for Stadol and the epidural. Ummm- the Stadol made my head spin for about 20 mins and the epidural did NOTHING for me!! It did not take, we don`t know why it just didn`t. But, getting the edidural was not bad at all, I was soooo scared but it truely didn`t matter at the time. Anyway, they were saying I was going to have a really big baby and weren`t sure I would be able to push her out. But, right when I felt I could not take anymore something just came over me and I starting pushing, it felt sooooo good to push through the contractions they no longer hurt. And about 9 pushes later she was coming and the doctor wasn`t there yet because he thought I would have problems so we had to quit pushing and wait for him to get there- that was the WORST pain the whole time. As soon as he walked into the room I pushed twice and she was here!!! It was the absolute greatest feeling on this earth....I just can`t describe it. I had no complications no stitches, no tears, no hemmoroids I am truely lucky from what I have heard!!
The nurses said, `That no one thought I would be able to push her out and they were all surprised!` She was considered a big baby but she is so small and so cute to us!
I love, love, love her soooo much it is unbelieveable!!! I don`t even remember the horrors of being pregnant or labor...it really does just all go away!!!
