Biggest achievement so far:
Kekoa has been trying to hold his head up and steady since day one. He is a strong boy.
Now at two months he can hold his head steady and trying to roll over and when you sit him up he can hold himself up for a little while. Amazing how our little boy is growing.
Kekoa is now three months old. He can roll over both ways and is trying to sit and stand. He holds onto your hands and stands right up. Wow how fast they grow!
At 4 months Kekoa has offically sat up by himself. He is now practicing on staying upright and playing with toys.
At five months Kekoa has started to military crawl! It`s so fun watching him.
Six months! Kekoa is so strong. He can crawl with the best of them and is starting to pull himself to standing. He loves to pull himself up on the side of the exersauser or crib. My little man will be walking in no time.

Christopher-Kekoa-Mitchell`s birthstory

I delivered my baby by c-section because a month before I came down with a condition called PUPPPS. It is a horrible pregnancy rash that can`t be cured except by birth. I have been on all sorts of medication to help with the itch and burn but nothing works for long. I could take it anymore so we started the induction process. All last week I was going in for gel to soften my cervix but that only got me to 60%. Saturday night at midnight I went into the hospital for pit but after 12 hours nothing happened so we decided to have surgery. It was a quick decision and I`m so glad we did. My body is completely better from the PUPPPS and my recovery was awesome. I was ready to go home that night but couldn't. It is now Tuesday and we are at home. YAY!

Two weeks after delivery I was completely healed. My one week postpardum was greart and I was healed but tender. The second week I felt nothing. I was back to normal...just a little fatter. Now I'm just trying to lose weight!

November 13th

Today my little man are hanging out at home doing laundry. I am fully recovered and feel no effects from the c-section. Our only problem is latching and so I am up night and day pumping for my man. Last week we were also having problems with milk production but now I am on meds to boost my milk. It is working. I am now making enough for my angel. Unfortunately, because of the earlier problems I still can't get him to latch. I feel bad because I want to nurse but the important part is that he is getting feed and breast milk. He is an angel. He sleeps about 22 hours a day and never cries. He fusses when he is upset but that is all. I'm very lucky to have a baby as sweet as he is. I love him so much. Oh one more thing...for those who think circumsion is so tramadic for the little boys, mine fell asleep during his. No joke, he whined a bit while they gave him his lidocane and he was sleep by the time they strapped his legs down. No problems there!

January 4th

Hey all! It has been a long time since I have been online. We are growing! Kekoa is now 2 months old and growing so much. He is now trying to use his little muscles so much which I am so proud. Also, my old challenge of breastfeeding is over. We can nurse whenver I want to! We are still pumping and using the bottle most of the time because I go back to work in a month so I am trying to get into the swing of things. I still suppliment a bit because I don't make enough. My little guy is drinking 5 oz every three hours during the day and another 5 every four or if I'm lucky five hours during the night. I am trying to get him on a schedule and be a little self-sufficient in play so I can accomplish something around the house. I've got some good advice and today was able to do quite a bit. YAY!! My newest challenge is not wanting to go back to work. I love my job and wish I could do it and not use daycare but that just isn't going to happen. So I found a daycare that is a mile from work and is very nice. I will be able to go in at lunch and nurse my little man. I hope all goes well. We'll see, if it doesn't then I plan on quitting. I don't want my baby hurt. We'll see. Hope all is well. Later Ladies!

February 12, 2008

I'm back at work now which really sucks but little Kekoa is doing well. He rolled over from front to back last week which is awesome. My strong little boy can now roll both ways and it practicing sitting and even standing. He inch worms across the floor right now so I bet he will be an early walker like his cousin. One of his cousins walked at 7months. WOW! We'll see. As for daycare, it's ok. I cried dropping him off and picking him up. I see him at lunch so it is only every four hours being away. He is doing ok there and everyone loves him. Such a sweet baby.
