Evangeline-`s birthstory

To make a long story short: On wednesday the 25th the doctor discussed with my husband and I our options for speeding up the birthing process since I was having a lot of chest pain. We decided our best option was a c-section. Immediately I went to the hospital and had an interview with the anesteologist. Again for my condition (blood clotting disorder) we decided that general anesthetic would be best suited for my case. All of this came so quick I was signing forms left and right. I was told to go to the maternity ward at 8:30am the next morning to start the c-section. Thus, the next day we went to the maternity ward. They did blood work, a non-stress test, the doctor looked at where the placenta was one last time. My husband and I then waited for them to bring me down to the operating room. It took them 3 1/2 hours to come get me as their was a waiting list to get in to the OR. They finally came and got me and all these doctors started coming at me telling me all the risks and things that might happen. My anxiety was through the roof. There were 10 doctors in the room when I was put under. I was crying as it was very scary! They put me under and the next thing I knew I was in the recovery room screaming PAIN PAIN HELP ME IM IN SO MUCH PAIN. It felt like my insides were on fire and I was having hard contractions due to the pitocin they were giving me. After lots of morphine and percocet and every pain medication you can think of I finally was comfortable and they took me upstairs to be with my baby! It was the most bitter sweet day of my life and defintely the best!!!
