Eldon`s birthstory

We were trying to avoid an induction so Dr. scheduled us for some testing on July 11, 2008 to checck on baby and make sure he was healthy enough to go one more week before they had to induce. Testing showed that there was not enough fluid in my uterus. Regular levels are 12 and we were at 2. Choices were to induce, putting the baby at a high risk of being unhealthy and also risk the 80% chance of needing an emergency cesaren or to just plan a cesarean. We chose the cesarean and I was devastated as I had my birth planned down to a T without pain releif and as natural as possible.
They chose to do the surgery 2 hours later and although I felt no pain, it was truly the most uncomfortable experience of my entire life. As soon as my boyfriend announced that the baby was out and I heard him cry for the first time, I forgot about the entire emotional day and was overwhelmed with a sense of releif, accomplishment and love.
He scored a 9 on his one minute apgar and a 10 on his five minute. Seeing how healthy he was, made me realize that we made the right decision and I wouldn`t trade my birth experience for anything. He is perfect. :)
