Aaron-John-Murray`s birthstory

Well my contractions started in my back on sunday (07/09/08) and was just in my lower back this last for a few minutes and didnt have an exact time to them, they continued and became more frequent. come tuesday morning they were coming every 8 min and i was having 2 or 3 in this time. called L&D and they told me i wasnt in labour it was only latent labour and i would most likely be this way for 3 days. (this was at 14.34)

so i waited a further 2 hours the pain was so unbearable i could hardly stand they were starting to make me double over. ( i had no cramps or pains in my belly all was in my lower back) so i called my partner at work crying telling him i couldnt take anymore and he said he would take me to L&D got there and the midwife i spoke to on the phone said, ` as i said on the phone the chance ur in labour are slim, but as ur here ill do an internal` so she does and finds out LOW AND BEHOLD i am in Labour 3 cms dilated and very thin, gives me 2 pain killers and asked me to i want to stay or go home cause i could be like this for days. so i decided to go home its now 19.30. so by 11.00 im back in really bad pain, goes back to L&D and im 8cms dilated this when the fun began

i got my first shot of diamorphine, it was amazing, 02.40 i was 10 cm dilated and midwife broke my waters. she was a bit rough and cut Aarons head with the hook.
she was evil. but his heads ok, i used gas and air the whole time. and got my second shot of diamorphine at 3.20( midwife wasnt going to give me another shot as baby trace was sleepy, i was to late for the epidural and she was going to try and make me deliver on just gas and air, I DONT THINK SO,. so i demanded more drugs and i finally got my diamorphine after 20 min of begging lol) and around 5.10 baby was in place and i began to push, he finally decided to enter the world at 06.21. and the best pain releif in the world was seeing him,..... i had no tears, no stiches, and just had ur standard vaginal delivery,

me and baby got home on thursday and we only spent one day in hospital he is so happy and sleeps and feeds really well. thanx for reading my story and best of luck to all. and thanx for the wonderful women i have met on my journey and helped with all my questions and felt what i felt. you made my pregnany run smoothly
