Emma-Grace`s birthstory

I really must say that I was so scared, and it wasn`t bad at all. I had a scheduled induction for 5am. I got to the hospital at 5am, the nurse started my IV (took 3 try`s) and finally got it, the IV sticks probably hurt more than anything else really. My OB came in at 6:45am and he broke my water, started me on pitocin and checked me, I was 4cm dilated. By 9am I needed an epidural, the contractions were unbearable. He came in again to check me at noon, and I figured I was going to be 6 or 7 cm dilated but I was 10 and ready to push. I started to push at 12:30 with the nurse to get the baby to drop a little, after my 8th push, Emma crowned and then started to slide out before the doctor came back, the nurse had to hole Emmas head in the birth canal and my sister went and got the doctor. He came in and didnt even get on his doctor garb, Emma came sliding out and I didnt even push. She had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck, under her arm and around her belly. SHe was a tangled mess haha but she is fine and perfect and beautiful!! She was born on Feb 12th 2008 at 1:30pm, 5 pounds 4 ounces 18 inches long. She is beautiful!!!
