Nala-Angela`s birthstory

OMG, compared to my daughter`s birth 8 years ago that was full of complications, this labor was easy. My water had broke on Friday May 30th, my due date and I didn`t know it because it was a very slow leak. My sister-in-law and her boyfriend brought over their Wii Fit and we kept joking that I was going to get on it and my water broke. Ha! Joke was on me!

The next day the fetal movement was starting to drop and hubby told me to call the hospital. Now mind you I had been to the hospital two other times so I `knew` that I was going to be sent home again. Again, the joke was on me. They informed me that my water had in deed broken and I was getting admitted. This was around 2PM.

I was in the labor and delivery room by 4PM and given fluids and Pitocin. I really didn`t start feeling HEAVY contractions that had me wanting an epidural until about 7PM and by 8 I was nice and numb and 7 centimeters dilated. By 9:15PM I was fully dilated, 12 pushes later, my daughter was born at 9:44PM.

I had to get a few stitches, but overall, I feel pretty good and I am SO happy that she is here. Her sister is just as excited and we are all very blessed and happy.
