Della-Marie`s birthstory

Della Marie was born at 1 pound 13.2 ounces 8/8/2009. She is in the NICU and is doing very well considering her circumstances. I went into labor and I was so far dilated that my stitch was tearing my cervix so it had to come out. Shortly after it came out I dilated to 7 CM but stopped from there, but my water broke and I started to get an infection. They started my labor back up with pitostin but my cervix still would not move and I was laboring so long that my uterus just about had enough and I got that placental abduction. I had to have an emergency C section and am now a Mom to a beautiful and tiny baby girl (Della Marie). She came out kicking and yelling ( everyone said it was a great sign). So far everyone is saying she is doing wonderful and are just concerned about the basic things that could possibly happen to a baby her size. She totally looks like my husband already and as soon as I can figuer it out I will put a few pictures up of her. She has a lot of things going into her so it looks scary but they are all helping her. I just know everything is going to be ok with her even though she is very little. Della Marie Means Nobel Wished for Child. God would have never let me let this far to fail.

Della is now a healthy 4 month old and has been home with us for almost 2 months. After a lot of good and some bad days in the NICU we are so happy to be celebrating our first Christmas together as a family.
