Well on Monday the 5th April i was booked in for induction of labour 13 days overdue, we arrived at 11 am and were show to our 4 bed bay on the maternity ward there were 3 other ladies all being induced at the same time so felt chuffed id have some company.....we waited until it was our turn to be examined by the Dr to see if we needed the prostin jel which is reviewed and if need re given after 6 hours or the 24 hour one which you wear like a tampon, i was praying id be given just the jell as last time i had the tampon stuff with Paige and it did nothing for me!

Anyway i was pleased to find out i did just need the jel BUT she said my cervix was still high and baby's head need to come right down, i was a bit disheartened as id been informed id made good progress over my last 2 antenatal appointments.

We were given the jel at 2pm and it would be reviewed at 8pm to see if i was 2cm and more favorable to have my waters broke that night or be given a 2nd dose...8pm came and sadley went with me having a 2nd dose of the jel, i was having some contractions but nothing bad and few and far between hubby was told he had to go home ;-( and so he went leaving our bay now 1 down n 2 to go! i felt gutted that it wasn't me going up to delivery but i knew my time would come .

I was very tired and tried to get some sleep but just couldn't i was so determined to get labour started,so i got out of bed and decided to pace the corridors...and use the birthing ball while twiging at my nipples, this went on into the early hours and i was looking forward to 3am when the dr would be coming to asses me and was kinda hoping to be 2cm at least but at around 2am i noticed that baby was moving A LOT!!! and it was VERY painful!!

the midwife popped her head round the curtains and asked how i was getting on i was now the only person left in our bay and was huffing and puffing in pain, so i told her baby was going mad in me n was hurting so she said well Dr will b round in a bit so i will just pop you on the monitor...

after a few Min's i said WOW why is her heart rate so fast? so she said probably because she is moving so much, so she checked my heart rate and said i need to get the Dr to come now, when the Dr arrived he examined the trace that was being recorded of baby's heart rate which was going from 178 to 185 and it was not calming down he also said that my heart rate was 98 which was also high.

he then gave me an internal which was extremely painful but i knew he had to dig deep in order to see if i was dilated enough...he then nodded to the midwife and i said well? he said 3cm PHEW so the midwife rang up the delivery suite to get them ready, it was now 3am so i rang hubby and told him to get to the hospital as things were going to start.

when i finally got up to delivery hubby was already there looking very chuffed might i add lol we were shown into a room and a midwife introduced herself and told me she would b breaking my waters, she also asked if i had thought about pain relief i told her that i like gas and air and possibly pethidine if things got to much towards the end.

she asked if i felt ready for the Gas, for which i said yes!!! so she then said because you have step B I'm not going to break your waters until i have got the IV in to give you antibiotics as its 3rd baby it could be a quick labour so she started to add a line into the back of my right hand..she was pokeing and prodding for ages the said I'm sorry ive gone right through your vein omfgg i was like WTH so she had to get a Dr in to do it who tried 6 times all over my body you wouldnt belive teh bruises i have!!!! im black all on one arm a right mess!!!

anyway the dr did get one in eventually and they started to break my waters and it seamed to be taking forever she was stabbing around and it was so uncomfortable and then i just stared crying n she said look im so sorry but im not happy to break them its so far back and tilted and if i did it there is a chance that the cord could come down before the baby and that's not good so im going to have to get the Dr in..

Dr came in and round 2 began after a few Min's i felt my waters go and he then started shaking me inside to empty them! again so uncomfortable i thought what the hell is he doing! as there seamed to be so much waters soon he stopped and was happy it was over.

the baby's heart rate was continuously being monitored and was still very high now staying in the 185 zone,this was around 5am now and i was hoping the birth wouldn't be much longer away as with Paige i only had to wait 3hrs 52 Min's after my waters broke until i gave birth.

I was examined again by a Dr who said babys head is to one side so she began to manulay shift my insides to get baby to move

but things still didn't get going all that well and 2 Dr's came in and said your hot i said yes cause its warm in here well she said but your heart rate is very high aswell as baby's and its unexplained...i said well what is wrong she said i dont know but im afraid we cant let this go on so im afraid we are going to have to give you a C section..but we will give it half n hour to see how things go but we will need to attach a clip to baby's head now and you need to lay on your side as baby's heart rate is now dipping.

once the dr had put the clip on baby really didn't like it and all of a sudden the heart rate was so slow and the room went so silent and baby's HB sounded just like a slow knock knock knock..i looked at hubby cause i knew it wasn't good then there was pauses LONG ones between the heart beating again i looked at the Dr and i said WELL!!? whats wrong!!!? im not sure she said but then she said to the midwife call theatre now and get her ready the room filled with people and i was told what was going to happen i was so tired i just didn't care id not slept for 2 days and the pain was awful...next thing another Dr came in and told me to stand! to try and help baby's heart it was truly awful! so bloody frightened and still there was so much water coming out of me the midwife just couldnt believe how much there was! then the clip came of the baby's head so midwife put on another tummy starp to find it but she couldnt! omg i was so scared she said get back on the bed and after a few mins she found! thanks god i thought...

I must have drifted off for a few mins and we were left alone in the room, George kept saying the heart rate is slowing donw now! so in came the Dr who said ive been watching outside and baby seems ok now so we shall give it a bit longer before we section you.

by now it was getting very painful but at least baby seemed happy for now..so thoughts of a natural birth piked me up again.

8am came and i then had a new midwife who came in and because i was so high on the gas i was being such a joker pmls we were having a right old laugh another Dr came in and asked how things were going she asked if the contractions were getting any stronger so i said not really so she decided to get a drip in to speed them up and also some IV fluids the midwife made a right balls of it i had 6 attempts to get another line in but my veins were not playing ball and the blood was pouring out of my arm! hubby said it was that bad the midwife just got one of those inco sheets with her foot and soaked it all up didn't bat an eye lid! it was like a war zone in that room!

the dr examined me and said your just 4cm at a push! i felt like id made no progress at all! and was now in tears i was just so fed up!

i asked the midwife for some pethidine which she took ages to do! the pain was dreadful! laying on my side aswell made it so much more uncomfortable.

I finally got the pethidine's but by now the pain was just to much i said PLEASE get me an epidural ok she said and one was ordered thankfully it was only a few Min's until the epi man arrived hubby held me as it was put in.

Once it was done he said right here is a button and you just press it when you need it but dont worry you cant overdose as it wont allow it more than once every 20 Min's and the longer its in the more it will build up so then you wont need it anymore AHHH wonderful i thought so i laid back and waited.

i was still puffing on my gas and air but to be honest id had it that long it was doing NOTHING for me.

Everyone left the room and hubby was sat opposite in a chair n it was only like 10 Min's since the epi had been put in and i said to hubby i want to push!... he said so calmly well you can ya not ready! your only 4 cm OMG i thought he doesn't believe me!!! i wanna fuckin push i said now crying and panicking so i tried grabbing the emergency buzzer but couldn't so i stared shouting!! lol hubby opened the door to get someone and i remember shouting i want to push!!!!!!!!!! i know i need to push cause it feel like i want to shit real bad pmsl the midwife came in and said ok lets look and then she said nope OMG i thought i DO need to push she said there for like 5 Min's nodding her head then all of a sudden said to my hubby push that buzzer for me to call for help she then said to another midwife ok were fully......WHOOOOO i thought but omg the epi it hadn't taken effect i was pressing that button like there was nooooo tomorrow!!!

Midwife said ok mum when ya ready to push you go for it soooo i waited for my next contraction and had a good push..then i waited for the next n so on but soon they seamed to take forever! and space out i finally got one n bloody hell did i push id had enough now n all my pain n worry n anger just built up n boy did i PUSH!!!!!!!!!! then midwife said ok baby's head is out so 1 more push and out came baby!!!....the room was silent n didn't seem like it was with my others hubby was smiling but i thought why aren't they showing me!! then all of a sudden hubby was asked to cut the cord and as she passed the scissors to him she dropped them on baby!! i was like omg careful!!! he cut the cord and baby was handed to me but something didn't seem right she was dark blue like a purple and wasn't breathing!! i said to the midwife whats wrong with her!!!? nothing she said she will be ok in a min so i tried rubbing her but nothing! i looked at hubby and just shouted shes not breathing HELP HER JUST TAKE HER!!!!!! midwife grabbed hold and rushed off and 2 midwifes were doing someone to the left of me i couldn't look...but i knew they were giving her oxygen then after what seemed like hrs the midwife said to the others she is not responding push for help! they pressed the button for teh CRASH team who arrived at the door in seconds to resuscitate her but just as they came in baby started to cough n splutter! thank the lord!!!!!!!!! that was the most scariest moments of my life!!!!

I got to hold her after that and she was weighed she was 9lb 7oz!!! couldn't believe how big she was LOL big chubby chops and just big lol!!! but oh so beautiful she is the spit of her sister just a bigger version!

the midwife began to get my placenta out but while she was doing it i heard her say to the other midwife oh look that's what the problem was.....no one said anything it was all very hush hush after but something was wrong as they kept checking i was ok i really believe that i was in fact 4 weeks over due and not 2! and that something i dont know what was wrong with my placenta but i will never know.

im furious that the midwife handed baby to me when she wasnt breathing i dread to think what could of happend

Baby is fine now and we came home the next day she has struggled with feeding as has been very mucusy, but is doing great

I just thank god she is ok and i LOVE her so much!!!!
