Jaelynn-Elizabeth`s birthstory

I had a scheduled induction for the 12th. Went in to Triage to get set up and they were BUSY!! It (seriously) was a full moon and everyone in the greater lansing area was giving birth. SO......Had to wait, went to get something light to eat for dinner, came back, got a really small room in triage. They started the induction around 9:30pm by suppository. Started mild contractions. Around 11pm they moved to a little nicer room but there still were no rooms in the Labor & Delivery unit. Stayed in the nicer room until 4am, contractions were getting stronger as they gave me an oral dose of induction medication as well. When i finally got to my room around 4am, was SO tired and contractions were getting stronger but my progress was SLOW. Got some pain meds in my IV around 10-11am (my time frames are a lilttle hazy right now) and it was the best dope ever! It really didnt TAKE away the pain, just took the edge off. Well, of course, that didnt last long and by 11am they had broken my water and started the pitocin drip. HOLY HELL did those contractions really start to hurt! So, i begged for the epidural, and after laboring for over 12 hours they were nice and gave it to me but one side (the left) wasnt working well and they couldnt flip me to that side b/c baby was distress and needed to be on the right side. So, i had THE MOST WICKED contractions on my left side only. Not fun. So, i started feeling sick and the nurse gave me something for that but the contractions would not let up. She kept telling me to tell her when i felt pressure on my bottom. I couldnt even feel my ass! Finally, the nurse came in to flush my uterus to get the cord loosened cause baby was still in distress and when she checked me i was at a 9! I literally went from a 4 to a 9 in about a little over an hour!! So, they got me all set to go, pushed for about 10 minutes and out she came. OH yes....i did dookie on the table but hey, whats that saying.....Shit Happens!

So, baby is here, doing OK. We are home, TIRED and just trying to get things back on track with our new little one and our oldest daughter.

Oh, yet another hard induction for this mama and this time it was a must because I was developing Pregnancy Induced Hypertension. My numbers were going up slightly and I was full term so they just set a date & time. And yet once again, that induction time was delayed because there was no room at the hospital. So, had to go in later in the evening, got started on the cervical suppositories and off we went. 10hours of HARD labor later...Camille Taylor was born! This is our last child, all done and happy to be blessed with three little girls :)
