Genevieve-Georgine`s birthstory

I went in at 8:00 to be induced (they started the pitocen around 10:30) and everything was slow and boring until around 9 pm then the pain started getting really bad (up until then i didn`t have anything) so I asked for something and they gave me some kind of IV drip that they said would help take the edge off, but all it did was make me fall asleep in between contractions and then wake up with horrible pain... kind of mean if you ask me! It also made me throw up everywhere!! After about half an hour of that I asked for an epideral (sp?) instead and they said they would contact the doctor that does that (apparently there was only one guy on duty who could do it) but that he was in surgery so it could be awhile. Around 11 pm they finally gave me the epideral, but when he was explaining it to me I kept falling asleep because of the stupid meds they gave me earlier. Well I forgot that there was a button I was suppose to push to increase the level of meds I was receiving until the nurse told the doctor that she was impressed that I hadn`t pushed it at all... well i should have pushed it then `cause then she turned it off and it was too late to get anymore. I started pushing around midnight and my little girl wasn`t born until 2:17 am. Since i hadn`t increased the amount of meds i could feel everything except my legs.... and boy did she hurt `cause she was born and she weighed 9lbs 9oz and is 21.5 inches long... so much pain, but she is adorable!!
