Birth Story

It all started on May 11. I was having mild contractions throughout the say, but nothin that was too severe. At about 12am on May 12, my contractions were coming on real hard, to the point were I was crying. I started timing them and the were about 4-3 mins apart. I called the doc and she told me to come on in, as it could be either early labour or false labour.

I got to the hospital and was admitted at 3:30am. When I got checked, doc told me that I was dilated 5cm, and that I willing be staying in the hospital.

At this point, my contractions are about 2-3 mins apart, and I'm very frustrated. I wanted a natural birth so I was doing everything that I can to prevent gettin the epidural. The nurse then suggested that I go into the whirlpool tub. This worked for the first half hour, but shortly got annoying.

By now I'm in alot of pain and decided to get the epidural, this was @ 7:30 am and I was 8cm dilated. At 8:30 they broke my water and went to 9 1/2 cm. I was real nervous about the epidural.....but I must say that it was not as bad as I thought it to be. It really helped with my contractions

At 11:15, I started gettin the feelin like I wanted to take a poop, and the nurse told me it was time to push. After pushing like crazy...my lil man was born @ 11:55am weighing 7lbs 2oz

It was the greatest experience ever and I would do it all over if I had to =)
