Kendra-Lee`s birthstory

3:30pm-Shopping at Michaels for a craft project. I started getting dizzy and just feeling overall very weird.
4:00pm-Met Landon at Walmart to go grocery shopping after he got off work. Went into the bathroom because my panties felt wet. Saw a bunch of slimey mucus on panties and figured it was just more mucus plug. My mucus plug had originally come out the day before. Walked with Landon and grabbed groceries even though I felt "weird". Panties started feeling wet again but much more than before. I told Landon to finish getting the groceries and I would meet him at the house.
4:15pm-Got to my car and realized I had a softball sized wet spot all the way through my jeans-MY WATER BROKE! I called Landon and told him to call his mom while I called mine and to get home as soon as he could.
4:30pm-Got home and finished packing the hospital bags, changed my clothes and cleaned up the house. My Mom showed up and vacuumed and did the dishes for me. I told her I needed all of this done before leaving. My Mom said my water definately broke but I was second guessing myself because I wasn't leaking anymore.
5:45pm-Arrived at the hospital. The nurses checked for amniotic fluid. Started getting bummed out because I was afraid it wasn't my waters that broke.
7:30pm-Amniotic fluid confirmed! Yay!
8:00pm-Admitted to the hospital-Room 138. I was crampy and having mild contractions that I couldn't feel. Walked outside and in the halls. Used the birthing ball and couldn't sleep so Denise massaged my feet.
2:00am-Still not progressing and Pitocin was adminstered to induce labor.
3:00am-Truely started laboring and feeling my contractions.
4:00am-Hard contractions started so we walked all around the hospital hallways and Landon & my Dad would hold me up during each contraction. Denise took each breath with me during the contractions. Mom, Kevin and Kim also followed video taping and giving me support.
5:00am-The nurse checked me and I was 2 centimeters and had contractions that were 2-4 minutes apart. Sitting on the birthing bll wih my body forward on the bed and Landon sitting behind me were my most comfortable laboring positions. I got sick from the pain and vomited in the bathroom garbage can. Denise brought in a cold wash cloth and put it on to the back of my neck. This stopped the vomitting INSTANTLY.
6:30am-Aunt Kimmee Had to leave for work. She was crying because she didn't want to leave!

8:30am-I requested an epidural.I was puking about 5 minutes after the epidural was placed. Kendra's heart rate dropped to a 90 for 5min w/dips in th 70's. 7 nurses and 2 Dr's srushed in and had me try laying in different positions and then tried giving me oxygen. Kendra's heartrate went back to normal. The nurse checked me again and I was already 8cm/80% effaced. The whole time everyone besides Landon was stuck out in the hall not knowing what was going on. They only heard all of the lights and alarms going off. They were all panicking to say the least.
9:15-Denise gave me massages & I rested.
11:0pm-The nurse checked me again and I was dilated to 9cm. I rested and watched the monitor. My contactions were 1-2 minutes apart. I wasn't having any pain due to the epidural-YAY!
12:10pm-The nurse came in ad checked me again an I was already dilated to a 10. The midife was called in-We were ready to push! The nurse set up the room.
12:14pm-The midwife suited up.
12:21pm-Started pushing.
12:29pm-Kendra's head came out and her shoulders got stuck. Kendra turned blue "Code Blue". Midwife pulled Kendra out and cut the cord and put her on my chest for about 10 seconds. Kendra finally cried and a ton of nurses & Dr's piled in but everything was okay by then.
12:32pm Kendra was born. Landon and my Mom held my legs and Dad cooled my head with a wet wash cloth. Denise video taped and walked kim through what was happening.
