Dillon-Alexander-Dugan`s birthstory

After a week of false labor and a visit to the dr.which stripped my membranes, on 5/27 at about 8pm my water broke! Off to the hospital at which we arrived at 9pm. Upon first check, I was 5cm dilated and awaiting my epidural. Within 5 minutes, I had fully dilated and in full on labor, while the anesthesiologist was with another patient with a code blue! Being a first time mom, the drs. thought I had plenty of time to reach 10cm, and I was left screaming in my room at my husband and mother that my child was coming and I needed someone immediately! Here came the crew in my room, ready to deliver naturally, the whole time while I`m telling them `I can`t do this and this wasn`t my birth plan!.`
While my son was ready to see the world, he was descending too fast and his heart rate was dipping. So, we went to fentinel to soften the contractions, which only lasted 15 minutes. Then we had to hit the hard stuff to stop labor until he could be stabilized. We had a few rounds of pushing to get him moving back down the birth canal, but he was being stubborn! So, at 1am, the dr. decided I had 30 more minutes of pushing and then I was off to a c-section. Well, knowing my child, he just needed a little threatening...and then we were off and running! At 2:39am the love of my life, and most gorgeous baby boy to enter this world was born! At 6lbs. 14oz. and 19.5` long and 2 weeks early, Dillon Alexander Dugan came into the world bright eyed, a head full of blond hair and so many facial expressions...everyone that melts your heart!
