Alissa is my first baby. I was 17 years old when I had her. She was 9lbs. and 3ozs. She was huge, for me anyway. The delivery was difficult. I had her natural no epidural. My husband (boyfriend at the time) was in the Marine Corp when she was born. So my mom was there while I gave birth. She was and still is the proudest grandma in the whole wide world. Mom helped watch Alissa while I finished highschool. Don't know what I would have done without my mom.

Alissa is almost 9 years old now. We grew up together. She is beautiful and so smart. She is on the Honor roll every year. She is so mature for her age. She is amazing and I love her with all my heart.

Haley is the third edition to our family. Haley is my step daughter who came to live with us in 2004. I don't have many details about her birth, but I do know that she was a big baby like her sister Alissa. 9 plus lbs. also. She is a very smart girl. Makes the Honor Roll every semester. She is a very energetic, loud, silly little girl. Haley loves the outdoors and loves to play.

Also very different from her sisters. Its funny how your children are so different from each other but are raised the same.

Haley is very excited about the baby. She will be such a great help. She is like a little mom.

Hannah is my 2nd baby. Hannah was 7lbs. 15oz. She was 2 weeks early thank goodness or I would have had another huge baby. I was determined to have her early. I remember i had went to the dr at 37 weeks and found out that my dr was on vacation in Montana hunting. The nurse practioner checked me and I was dilated to a 1. They did an ultrasound beacuse they were concerned with the weight I had gained since they had seen me last. The ultrasound said 7lb something I can't remember the oz. I was so worried that I was going to have a big baby again. Within 3 days I gave birth. I did everything you can think of even caster oil.

Anyway, Hannah is a mess. But we love her anyway. She is energetic, a blabber mouth, loves to snuggle and so totally cute. She looks like a mixture of her mom and dad. Oh did I mention spoiled rotten. lol! Hannah's personality is so different than her big sister Alissa's.

Hannah is mommy and daddy's little stinker. We love you Hannah Nana!!!

Aliyah-Grace`s birthstory

I was induced at 38 weeks. Me and my husband went to the hospital at 5:00 a.m. The nurse started me on the pit at 6:30 a.m at a slow rate. Very soon I was having contractions. Nothing bad.

Dr. came in at 7:45 a.m. and checked and I was dilated to a 4. He went ahead and broke my water. I told him that with my other babies that after my water had broke that I had them within 1 and 1 1/2 hours. He smiled and said I think you will have this baby pretty soon.

Not very many contractions later they began to become much stronger. The nurse had told me previously that she was leaving things up to me that if I wanted to be checked to let her know. At this point the contractions had gotten so bad that I wanted to be checked to see if I had made any progess. I was dilated to 6 and when I would have a contraction she could stretch me but I`m not to sure how far. After that it was really hard to remain in control. I told the nurse that I needed to push. She checked me and I had a liitle cervix left and the dr. would be able to stretch it over the babies head when I pushed.

Dr was called and he came in and I pushed many times but wasn`t making any progress. Looking back I don`t believe I was ready to push and had wore myself out. I pulled my IV out of my arm three times. Beacuase I know longer had any pitocin my contractions began to slow and the urge to push completely went away. I was so exhausted. I had given up. I was so tired and truly thought that I couldn`t do it anymore. My Dr left and said when I was ready to have a baby to let him know and he would be back.

Once the IV was back in my arm the contractions came back and I was pushing again. They called the Dr back in and shortly I was able to get her head out. I remember the Dr telling me Heather you can`t stop know she is out to her eye brows. I was telling them that I couldn`t push anymore. I remember thinking that i wasn`t going to be able to do it. I pushed what I could give and got her head completely out the Dr and two nurses began yelling at me to push because her shoulder was stuck. The nurse got on top of my stomach and began to push her out while the Dr stuck his hand in and helped her shoulder through as I pushed the best that I could. I felt the rest of her body come out and the Dr laid her on my belly. She was so blue and slimy.

She wasn`t crying so a nurse ran over and started rubbing her back and she began to cry. She was so cute.

I had a small tear from her shoulder and while Dr was stitching me up, dad and big sisters went with the nurse to get her weighed. They came back and told me that she weighed 10 lbs. and was 20 inches long. I couldn`t believe it. She is so cute and fat. Baby Aliyah was my shortest labor so far, 5 hours from start to finish.
