Mariah-Celeste`s birthstory

I was due to be induced at 7pm but because I wasn`t dialated at all the doctor gave me a capsel to soften my cervix. After about 3 hours I started having contractions 2 minutes apart. They started off feeling like menstrual cramps with a back ache. But after a few hours I was starting to really feel pain. The nurse gave me two sleeping pills because she thought I was overreacting the pain and said `this is just the beginning` and told me to sleep it off. Unfortantely the pills didnt work! I was in pain the whole time and eventually after 6 hours of having strong contractions two minutes apart, I was feeling like I was going to pass out. I couldnt catch my breath and was terrified to feel the next one. I started crying and yelling and eventually the nurse decided to take the capsel out and see if I dialated at all. As it turns out, I wasnt overreacting and was 6cm. I was so dihydrated my lips were cracked and dry. I asked for an epidural but was shaking so much in pain that I had to wait to calm down. I couldnt take the pain so the nurse held me down and I was given the shot. As the nurse held me down I felt a gush of liquid, I thought it was my water but it was just my bloody show. Within an hour I was 9cm and my water broke. They paged the doctor and once he came in he check me and I was 10cm and I started pushing. 10 minutes later Mariah was born. The epidural did wonders! I would have asked for it sooner if I had known I was dialated. But after it all I am just happy that Mariah is here and healthy as can be. :-D
