Jack-Luther`s birthstory

Went to hospital with contractions on the Saturday morning and found to be 3-4 cm dilated. Midwife gave me a sweep and sent me home until contractions intensified.
Contractions continued over next few days and on Tues am my waters broke. Contractions sped up to 5 mins apart and we went to hospital.
Midwife sent me home until contractions intensified!
By the time I got home contractions very painful. Went to lay down on bed and hind waters broke. Immediately felt urge to psh but tried to clean up and get in to car to go to hospital. Knew I couldn`t get in car as in too much pain and knew we wouldn`t make it in time so managed to get back upstairs. Hubby rang ambulance and midwife. I knelt on my bed and immediately started pushing! I think I only had to push 4 or so times to get Jack out. Hubby caught him and wrapped him in a towel and gave him to me.
Sainsburys delivered while I was screaming my head off!
Ambulance arrived a few mins later and midwife a feew mins after that. Found I had a third degree tear. Not surprising with an 8lb 15oz baby, no pain relief and no help! Had to go to hospital and into theatre to be stitched up under spinal block anaesthetic.
On day 3 baby Jack developed an infection and was admitted to Special Care where he had to stay on IV antibiotics for 5 days.
Home now and all well and settled.
