Ruby-Jean`s birthstory

Well what a surprise this little lady was!

I went to see the midwife on 25/10 and advised her that i hadnt felt baby proprly move for a couple of days. I then got an appt at the hospital for a monitoring of her heartbeat, this was at 2pm.

2pm came and the baby was being monitored. Whilst i was on the machine for nearly 2hrs, the babies heartbeat dropped to 80 twice, should be around 134. This caused the midwifes to call a consultant who wasn`t happy. I was admitted to the ante-natal ward to be further monitored, by another consultant. Babies heartrate dipped again so they did a scan to see if they could see baby moving. NOTHING !!!!
He then made a quick decision that i should be induced and did an internal exam. He sais i was not so open but not so closed either - whatever that meant !
He consulted with another consultant, she made an even quicker decision that i should have a c-section NOW !!!!!!! This came as a massive shock but my babe obv needed to come out.

I undressed and sat waiting with my gown on for the anaethatist to arrive. She did the epidural and Ruby Jean Hayhurst was born literally 15mins later. It took around 3-4 mins for her to come round but we knew about it when she did - CRY!!!!!
I was stiched up within 30mins and back on the ward !!!

Once on the ward she had to be thoroughly checked. They wasnt happy with her blood gases from her heel prick - she was admitted to NICU. She is now back with me feeding fine !!!!

She is so perfect - I just keep staring at her !!! Apparently shes the spit of me !
