John-Charles`s birthstory

I managed to do my little 5 hours of labor at home, where I was COMFORTABLE! I do want to warn everyone about ONE thing, that really had me confused. My labor contractions NEVER went steady, All the midwives and books had told me to call and go in when the contractions were FIVE MINUTES APART... for a FULL HOUR. My contractions NEVER went steady that way. I was contracting 3, 5, 6, 4, 2, 3.... until I delivered. Do NOT consider yourself in `false` labor... I was 20 minutes away from having my baby on the ride TO the hospital!!!!
But anyway, He`s beautiful and healthy and strong! I was up walking around ten minutes after the birth and my body feels SO much better for it! The midwife says the faster you get up after labor, the faster you will heal. I feel great! I`m so glad I`m not pregnant anymore ;-)
