Madeleine-Grace`s birthstory

Baby Madeleine Grace made her early entrance into the world at 1.31 am on 4th Feb. After days of mild regular contractions that seemed to be going no where i suddenly went into full blown labour from one contraction to the next. I ended up in excruciating pain on the floor, lost my mucus plug and it was a mad dash to the hospital since we knew the baby was breech. I was very scared because of how quickly things were progressing and I was totally taken by surprise. Luckily hubby and my mum (an ex- midwife) were there to support me. After some monitoring I was prepared for the emergency c-section and my waters broke on the operating table! Baby had passed meconium in the waters but by that point they were ready to start the operation so things moved pretty quickly.
We are doing great! She is an amazing little person. I love her so much!! She is breastfeeding very well and really only ever cries when she is hungry or needs a diaper change.
