Zaylie-Benae-Vigil`s birthstory

I had a regular exam on Sept 25th and was asked to come in the next day to be induced. I was so shocked!! I went in at 4 pm on the 26th, got registered and went straight to the OB. They took me to a room and had me change and do a urine sample. When I was getting my urine sample I lost my mucus plug!! So I was hooked up to the baby monitors and was they started
giving me those pills to soften your cervix. At 6 am they started the pitocin, which started to work withen half an hour!! I was getting contractions that were 5 min apart, they didn`t feel so bad. By 8 my contractions were like a minute apart and they were starting to really hurt!! I asked for the epidural, and they took for ever to give it to me!! My mom my 2 sisters and a friend were all there talking away and laughing while Im sitting there in pain trying to breath through each contraction. I was getting so frustrated I felt like yelling at them to shut up!! lol but I kept it to my self :) Well I didn`t get my epidural till around 10 am and by then my contractions were less than a min apart and I was dilated to 6 cent. It was so hard to stay still for the epidural because the contractions were so close together. Well the damn epidural only worked for maybe half an hour and then I could feel them getting even stronger than before. they checked my servix I was at 9 already and they said it was probably pressure from her head. I was squirming so much they had to give me something else and I dont remember what it was called all I remember was that I was in heaven. I could still feel contractions but they were so light they didn`t bother. My midwife came in at around 12:30 checked my cervix and told me ok, its time to start pushing!! I was like already lol. They pushing was the easy part, I could feel the contractions so I knew when to push, and they said I was a good pusher. Only thing was I couldn`t move my left leg. One of my sisters was holding my neck and the other was holding one of my legs. And she did a poor job at it lol. She was nervous and she really didn`t want to look! Well im proud to say I pushed her out in about half an hour, she was born at 12:56 pm on Thursday Sept 27th 2007. I did not let out one scream throughout the WHOLE labor!! and was actually laughing at the nurses jokes between pushes. I didn`t need any help from that vacuum or whatever it is and I did not need stitches yay!! Zaylie Benae Vigil weighed 6 lbs 6.8 oz and she was 19 inches long!! I never passed out after till like 12 at night and barely got any sleep. Next day I found out she had a heart murmur so the did an EKG and ex ray on her. Well they said it sounded pretty loud so they made me an appointment to take her to a cardiologist in Albuquerque NM, which is about a 2 hr drive from where Im from. She also had jaundice that was minor but they treated it with those lights all day sunday. I was finally released on Monday after spending 5 long nights in the hospital. I had to leave straight to albuquerque for that appointment
and barely made it there like 5 min early. I wanted to get there earlier but the damn nurse that discharged us was so slow it took 3 hrs. Well anyway the cardiologist did another EKG and they did an ultra sound on her heart which we got to see ( me and my mother) They should us where the hole was and what was going on. They say it should heal up on its own. I have to take her back Nov. 5th so they can check its progress, They told me a few things to watch for and to call immediately. I feel so uch better to here that it should heal. I had been crying my brains out since they told me about the murmur, So now my lil angel is home!!!
