Brylee-Maria-Ann`s birthstory
I was hoping for a suprise start instead of just a scheduled c-section and I got it! Praise God! At 2am wednesday morning after a little lovin` I woke up with contractions already strong and 5 mins apart. However I lay in bed for an hour in disbelief as I never imagined I would really get to experience a real contraction! At 3am I woke my husband and we had to decide who to call to come and watch the girls. Paul`s parent`s got to our home at 3:30 and we headed on to the hospital which is about a 5 minute drive. When we got there we were hooked to a monitor and the contractions were confirmed as the real thing! I was worried I would be wasting my inlaws time and be sent home! The doctor checked me and I was 2cm dialated and 50% effaced. I was told that I would be having her by 6am. However it took a little longer as we had to wait for the anethestist and so it was about 6:35am before he came. He was the funniest guy and made the whole experience 100 times better than the last time. The spinal worked really well this time and we got awesome shots of our baby girl coming out of my belly. The snethetist took the camera and took a `family` shot and he then went camera happy getting the shots of the doctors and telling them to smile (behind their masks!) and so we have some awesome photos. Recovery was good but the hospital was packed, I had a hard first night with feeling trapped in the bed...I am not a hospital person and I got a kind of hot flush thing that was wierd! But I worked hard on recovery to escape home and my girls are just so in love with her! I am a little exhausted from the night time feeding that seems to be keeping us awake as well as the discomfort of the insicion but I am thankful for a healthy baby and another beautiful Blessing from God.
