Eric-Theodor-Megalla`s birthstory

Our Sweet Prince Eric Theodor Megalla has come into our world! We are soooo happy :smile! On Sunday Aug 17th i started to get some kinda cramps but they were pretty far apart like an hour apart sometimes 45 mins apart. So we went for a walk at a park near our home and we walked for about 2 good hours. I was still feeling the pains but they weren`t that bad so we stayed home and all night i started to get them off and on. Couldn`t sleep i was driving off and then the pain would come again. So Monday morning i was feeling good but was still feeling the pains. We went to Timmies had some cookies and some milk and i then got a really bad one and they were getting about 1/2hr apart. So i said i think it`s time we go to the hospital. Just to see were i am, we got there at 12:15 lunch. The nurses were sooo nice! They checked me in and got me on a bed to see and hear Eric`s heart beat and see how far i am. He`s heart beat was great, my contractions were only about 10 mins apart by this time and i was 4cm d! I was soo happy and shocked too hee hee didn`t know i was that far already. So they said i should take a walk around the hospital and come back in an hour and see how i am doing with the contractions they should be about 3-2 mins apart they said. So we walked around came back and i was put into my own room and got hooked up. I was now 6 cm and i wanted an epudral (sp wg) so i had to wait an hour and 1/2 so he finally came up at 9:10pm it took a bit of time caz i couldn`t get my back in the C way he wanted finally in at 9:35pm i got it and just had to seat back and wait hee hee well i didn`t have to wait to long i started to feel that i wanted to push about at 10:15ishpm i started to feel his head coming and i gave 4 good pushes and his head was coming out and the Dr came right in time! LOL he was like wow already okay this little guy wants to come. Pushed one more time and they told me not push and Eric just slid right out and i heard that cry i started to cry and cry and my husband cried! He was like omg omg thank you hunny i love you and we kissed and they showed us baby Eric and they took him to be weighted 6 pds 10 1/2 oz. and 20 inch long :smile I`m soo happy we had to stay for 36 hrs caz baby Eric is so small for his 41 weeks and 2 days so they had to do a Blood Sugar on him every 4-6 hrs. They poked his little foot awwwww i cried everytime they did that caz he would cry and cry.... but once he came back to his mommy meeeee hee hee i love saying i`m his mommy! He`d stop and just cuddle with me. He is home now and we are all doing well. I will write more later, but labour was very easy and being home with the little guy is getting easier too! You girls were right, you just know what to do when the time comes! Take care and will write more later

~~~Birth Story~~~

On Thursday morning 5 am I stated to feel a little pain, then it went on like this every hour until 1 pm. At 9am i took our son to daycare caz i knew today was the day and i don't think i could handle it with Eric being home and him seeing me in pain. So after i took Eric to daycare i cam home and took a shower to relax and just see how things go since it was only happening every hour. So my hubby called me at 10:15am asking how i am and i said i am feeling some pain... he was like should i come home? hee hee it was slow at work that day he's a watier/manger. I said no not yet take it easy lol. but every 20 mins he'd call me omg lol so by 12 i was ok fine come home lol So he came home and then the pain was like every 20 mins then sometimes 10 mins. so since we live about 25 mins from the hospital i thought we should just leave now and just to make sure i get there in time. So we get there and checked in around 2pm, called my mom told her whats happening and then finding out they are in Niagara Falls which is about 2 1/2 hours with traffic from us! OMG why would they go when she knew that the next few i'd go anytime.... oh well she they left and told her she had to get Eric from daycare at least before 6pm! So they got Eric 5 and went to her house, when i asked her to bring him there. she really made me mad but i had to forget it and just change my mood. Anyway so they checked me i was 3cm by then and had contractions every 10-25 mins. they said to walk around caz they had 2 sets of twins being delieverd then and they didn't have enough nurses to make sure i was taken care of so i said no problem plus my contraction had slowed down so that was about 3:30ish and they said come back by 4:30 or sooner if i am in any pain. so we went down stairs had some soup and walked as it got closer to 4:10 i was getting them closer like 7-8 mins and some hard some not bad so we went back up and they got me a room. they took blood and then put me on an IV. The contractions slowed done again but i was in pain when they came so at 6pm the dr came to give me an Epidural it took him 20mins to get it in he said i had a tight and narrow back. So i was in a lot of pain when he was doing this. I felt so much better after and relaxed a bit. at about 9pm i said i feel pressure a lot wanna push so they got the dr in and it was 9:15 then and with just a few pushes Celine Rose came at 9:19 pm! I had to get a few stiches but she is perfected!! They placed her on me and i got to hold her right away and talk to her. She weight in at 7pd 14 oz 19.5 inch long. and lots lots of hair! LOL
