George`s birthstory

George was in a hurry. Started induction at 11 AM. The doctor broke his sac at about noon and the contractions were very close together by 1230 and George was in distress. A little shot to stop the contractions and pitocin turned off and monitor placed on his head. After a few minutes, he recovered nicely and the emergency c - section was called off. Got my epidural on the doctor;s recommenation that this was not going to be much longer. (I did not believe them after my 18 hour labor and 4 hours of pushing with my first.) Went back to the pitocin at 1/2 the previous dose and contraction back to regular but 4 minutes apart not 2 and all I felt was pressure not more pain as the epidural was working nicely. Just before 4 PM, the doctor checked again and said real close just a moveable lip. Into the OR we went and were joinded by a small army of doctors and nurses. Test push once the doctor was ready and then wait throught 2 more until the anestelogist to arrive. Then 4 more pushes with the next contraction and George was born with a loud scream.

Spencer`s birthstory

After his big brother was born, Spencer suddenly had a two bedroom condo that he did not have to share and he did not want to come out. Since he was breach, the doctors planned on a breach extraction. Spencer had other ideas and was pushing their hands away and squirming as far away as possible. A little assistance from a couple helpers and a portable ulrasound and Spencer was caught, his sac broke his little feet caught, and pulled out by his heels. What a shock and he was not pleased at being removed from his accomidations but he was healthy and just fine.
