KOEN is here!! It still seems unreal. I got so miserable there at the end of my pregnancy... that I honestly began to wonder, if the time to meet him, would ever come. I thank god it did. I cannot imagine life without this little guy. He is soo beautiful. I mean, I am sure every parent has to think their kid is perfect--but whoa! HE IS! Here is my LABOR STORY for those of you interested!! It was quite the experience, to say the least...

To start off.. I went to the dr, on my bday (March 18th) Had a non-stress test, where I had some contractions. Then Dr. R checked me--I was still a 3, 70% effaced....I broke down crying. I thought for sure that I would have dialated more. Well then he left the room to check a slide he took of some fluid, I was leaking. It wasn't amniotic fluid...more bad news for me. But, then there was some good--dr. said he was on call the following day. If I came in and complained of contractions, he would start me!!! I was soooo happy and relieved .

Brandon and I got me some subway to chow .. we went in--haha. Then we went in through the ER. Luckily, I was actually having some contractions. I knew nothing major to be there..but I had to play the game my doc told me too...They took me up on Labor and delivery floor. Where they of course hooked me up to a monitor to watch the contractions and lil man. Of course the contractions weren't super strong..so they called Nancy! Even after i told them to call Dr.R. She tried to send me home. I was soooo pissed. They actually came in my room, and attempted to give me discharge papers. I flipped and told them to call Dr. R. They did...and he sent orders to get my pitocin rolling and get the show on the road!!

I didn't get my pitocin until around 3:00. Things were moving so slow at first because they couldn't start my pitocin, until Koen dropped down a little farther. He was still a little high. I rolled on the ball for a lil while. Then they kept increasing my pitocin, and the contractions got a lot harder.Dr. R broke my water around 7:00, and things sped up. I got up to pee, and that apparently encouraged him down. Well, by the time Iam walking back from the bathroom Iam in the worst pain of my life. I insist I need my epidural. I get told a bunch of lies...like"we have to wait, so that it doesn't make you need a c section, we have to wait on blood cultures, you can do this" shit from the nurses. I seriously was in sooo much pain. I was screaming. Brandon felt so bad, seeing me in so much pain. All I wanted to do was scream in pain, and curl up in a ball. After, a little while of me feeling like I was gonna die--the nurse decided to call the epidural people. Then it took them like 20 minutes to even come down to my room. The lady walks in and is seriously like worried about paperwork. My mom and Brandon both flipped on her. Thank god! I didn't have to. By this time the pain has peaked, and Iam pretty miserable. My nurse decides to check me..and what do ya know Iam a NINE!! Sooo much for that pain relief. I wish people listened when I talk. Then the nurse proceeds to tell me ok it's time to have a baby. I wanted to kick her.

Well, they get me in all legs spread and ready to push. It was unreal.

My sister actually got to help Dr. R deliver and everything because she is in nursing school, and working on that floor. It was sooo cool. I was pushing my little heart out. It was unreal being able to feel everything. But it honestly only took like a few pushes. Then I felt this overwhelming relief, and sense of pride, the second he was out. They put him directly on me. Its like that whole nightmare of pain was so less important, this lil guy was all that mattered. I would do it all over again and again to feel what I felt when he was in my arms. I won't lie, the afterbirth was also very painful. But, now I was looking at this perfect little boy..and had some distraction. He, I think, looks like Kaiden some. But, also has his own little "look" plus he was lighter and has a auburn hair color! That really threw me off--I thought he would be a lil mini Kaiden with all that super dark hair--nope, suprise mommy--haha!!

I felt so accomplished that I had made it through all of this with out pain relief. I have now experienced both methods of birth. Drugs and NO drugs. Honestly, yes no pain is nice. But the pain really does make you feel good...like you did the most amazing thing in the world. Its an adrenaline high that I cannot even begin to explain.

...Kaiden is a GREAT big brother, as Iam sure you can tell from pics. He is so proud, and a big helper!!

A few lil updates--

As many of you have asked..

Why were we in the hospital for so long?

--Koen had a temp. Which indicated an infection. He had to be on antibiotics(with an iv ) we had to stay 2 days for him to get these...cultures they took came back good though sunday and we got to come home!!

---He also had a billiruben check today--b/c he is looking pretty jaundice like. Well the levels were a 17! Pretty high. So he now has this billi-blanket he has to be on at home. Its a little light that straps to him. We go back tomarrow for ANOTHER test.

Iam Sooooo sick of hospitals at this point! I wanna puke when I enter that place. Hopefully we are done with them after tomarrow for a LOOOONG time!

March 27th--HIS LEVELS HAVE DROPPED AND HE NO LONGER NEEDS HIS BILI-LIGHT!!!! :)

1 mo apt- weight 10 pnds 5 oz

2 mo apt-weight 12 pnds 11 oz

Ko has GERD-- poor baby! Dr put him on some meds to help neutralize the acids in his spit up, so that it doesn't harm his esophogus--ooh yes he is quite the puker!!

3 mo apt- weight 13pnds 6 oz & he got shots! :(--but did soo good.
