Layla-Aubrey`s birthstory

This is the father and I decided to tell the baby story from my viewpoint. First of all i want to say that my wife was wonderful through the whole labor process. She had a pelvic exam on the 7th of the month, after the exam she experienced some bleeding and minor cramping, we found out this was normal after an exam but we called the doctor and he said come in for another exam. This exam showed the same results as the one on the preveois day NO DIALATION! We were upset because at week 39 things seem to creep by and as the father who has no idea what is going on inside the womb I am anxiuos to see my little girl. So we went home and prepared for more waiting, but the cramping sensation got a little stronger during the day until they were steady and we were using the term `contraction`. We called the doctor at 9pm and he said come to the hospital and we will check her out. So we get to the hospital they put her in a room and nurse `ratchet ` comes in. I can say she was the worst nurse in the world, very condecending, did`nt listen to us, come to think of it she reminded me of my mother. Well even though at this point my wife was in extreme pain and the contractions were between 5 and 7 mins apart she says `I`ts not about the contractions but the dialation` my wife was not dialated at this point, but was having true labor pains, we knew this because the pain was from front to back and consistent and very intense in length and pain, however the nurse from hell wanted to go home and said that the back pain (wich is not associated with bh contractions) was because the baby was `laying on a nerve` so we had to go home. We got home at about 12am. By this time my wife is moaning and squirming on the couch from the pain. She was scared to call the hospital because the nurse made it sound like we should`nt because it was false labor. At 2:30 my wife was in tears from the pain her mother and I said let`s go, and ran to the hospital. We get there and all my wife want`s is PAIN RELIEF!!!!! She was dialted to 3cm at this point hooray!!! So they get her prepped and and ready and above all the epidural. It took three hours to get from 3cm to ten 10cm. The doctor comes and says that we can go ahead and push the baby out. This is where my wife was a trooper she pushed that baby out in only 30 minutes! From my vantage point at her side holding her leg and her head i could see my wonderful beautiful baby girl coming into the world. What a wonderful moment there are two moments in my life that i will never forget the day my wife said I do and the day my Layla was born these are moments that i will hold onto forever. Now I have two girls that I can love with my whole heart.
