Haylee-Adalyn-`s birthstory

Haylee is here FINALLY!
After being 9 days overdue, early Sunday morning I got the call to come in to be induced... arrived at the hospital, VERY EXCITED, around 8:30am... BUT - turned out a couple women had came in before me in labour, so we had to wait... which was very disappointing. At 12:30 the doctor finally got me in, started my IV and broke my water... (I was 3-4cms) They decided to leave me for an hour, to see if I`d go into labour on my own - but nothing happened. So at 1:30pm they started the drip. At 2pm I started having contractions, and naturally with the drip induction they picked up in strength very quickly! So in no time I was agonizing in pain... They checked me after an hour and I was only 4-5cms, so I decided to take the epidural as I THOUGHT it was going to be a long process... but by the time the epidural came and was being put in, I started to feel as though I needed to push, so I told the nurse - and she of course never paid much attention to me, as I had just sooner been checked... WELL, as soon as I laid back down from getting the epidural inserted, the feeling to push was excruciating!! So they checked me and sure enough 10cms, fully effaced! The nurse then instructed me we`d `begin pushing`... I knew from my previous births that there was no `beginning to push` with me haha - baby was just going to come out - and yes, a push later baby Haylee came right out into the nurses hands - doctor hadn`t even came in yet. Sooo the epideral ended up being in for about 5mins lol. `Haylee Adalyn` weighed in at a whooping 9lbs 6ozs!... with a full head of dark hair :) She is just adorable and I`m so glad shes finally here!
