hannah-louise`s birthstory
Well where do I start, I woke up at around 4.45am and went to the loo like I usually do every early morning. I sat there for what felt like foreverrrrrrr....... got half way back to bed and coughed and a little gush came, but I didnt think anything of it, as its kinda not unusual for me this far in the pregnacy,lo, So I walked over to my draws next to my bed and changed my undies.
I went to go lay back in bed and more of a gush came, at the same time a little niggly pain and that was when I thought that it could be my waters breaking....
I woke my partner and we headed of to the hospital, on the way we started running out of fuel, oh my gosh I stared getting scared as contractions were comming full on and we had at least a 30 min drive ahead of us, so we decided that we would go to the nearest hospital to be checked out.
As I got out of the car at the hospital a big gush came and I had to walk into ER leaking fluid all over the floor..haha...
They took me straight to Birthing Suite and checked me, I was 2 cm dialated `I coulda screamed , as the pain was intence and they recon I was still only 2cm, omg`.
Because of my high risks (blood clooting disorder, high blood preasure and Hannah having a Teratoma) they put me into a ambulance and we headed for my hospital.
by this time it was 5.30am when we arrived and they checked me again, still I had`nt dialated anymore and my contrations were very iregular, they checked my cervix and couldnt even find it, so they had to give me an ultrasound and said that I was prosterior.
Which means `the baby`s position makes it hard for the head to move through the pelvis`
I was told Mothers of babies in the `posterior` position are more likely to have long and painful labours as the baby usually has to turn all the way round to facing the back in order to be born.
So anyways i went in there knowing that I didnt want any drugs at all , lets face it, there are millions of women out there that dont need anything.
long story short(er) my labour went for 5 hrs, was very very painfull, my partner was great help and we had litle hannah at 9.59am.... no more children for me EVER!!
