Harry`s birthstory

I was induced for obstetric cholestasis at 37 weeks. it was a long long induction requiring 3 doses of prostin gel and oxytocin but once I got into established labour the labour went fairly swiftly. Only after been put up on full oxytocin drip did I get an epidural, I requested a light block to remain mobile which helped. Once I got to fully dilated i managed to push the baby out in three contractions, thankfully I didn`t need any sutures. Unfortunately it appeared that baby was a little more prem than anticipated as he was covered in vernix and he had some issues breathing and his heart rate was dipping intermittently. As a result he spent 12 days in NICU. Thankfully I was able to stay in the hospital as I am exclusively breast feeding and this allowed for good establishment of feeding.
