Adam-John`s birthstory

After walking my kids to school, I was on my way home when I began to feel the twinges of my first contractions. When I got home I went to the bathroom and there was blood on my liner mixed with a little mucus. I called the hospital at 10am and they said to monitor the bleeding and to call back at 11am. Over the next hour my contractions became more and more painful and were soon every 2-3 minutes apart, so I called the hospital back and they told me to come in. I arrived at 11:30am and when they checked my cervix I was already 7cm dilated. I asked if I could have an epidural, but the midwife said I'd probably deliver before the anesthesiologist got there--and unfortunately she was right! Sucking on the gas I was handling my contractions okay and had about a minute in between each to recover and be normal, but then they broke my water and took the gas off me so I could start pushing and boy was it painful! I screamed so loud I scared the poor first time mom in the delivery room next to me. Thankfully, Adam made his appearance shortly after at 1:35pm.
