Well, at 11pm on wednesday 25th Novemebr my waters broke in bed, we went to the hospital and I was having mild contractions every 5 mins, so I was sent home, being told I would probably be back that night, I wasn't. The next day we went back to the hospital at 10am for a check up and discussed induction, which I decided not to go for until the next day, so an appointment was made for 8am on Friday 27th. We went home and decided to go to the shops for a walk to try and get things going naturally. It worked, at 4.30pm Thursday 26th I had my first contraction, these were very mild and we decided to go to bed around 10.30pm. At 11pm I started getting stronger contractions which were coming irregularly from 4-8 mins apart. We stayed at home til around 2.30am when we went to the hospital. I wasn't checked until 5am (when I said I had the urge to push) and was found to be fully dilated (no time for pain relief). After 3 hrs of pushing and lots of encouragement and support from my partner Barry, baby Kayla was born at 7.59am, 1 minute before we were due to be induced!
