SAVANNAH MICHELLE Sex: girl Born: 03 March, 2008 Age: 0 years & 225 days Birthday in: 140 days Starsign: Pisces Development: See the 7 months page. Biggest achievement so far: - |
I my original due date was 2/27/2008 but that date came and went. When I went to the doctor on 2/26/2008 the doctor told me that if I didnot go into labor on my own I would have to be induced. At that appoint I was 0% effaced and dilated. The induction would take place on sunday 3/2/2008 at 9pm. I would be given Cervadil to allow me to dilate and then be given Potocin if my labor didnt start on their own. Well, 2/28, 2/29,3/1 came and nothing happened. So I guess I was going in. I packed my bags and went to the hospital. I got the and checked in. They monitor her in triage and it was fine. I was upset because they told Mike that he couldnt stay overnight. So I had to all alone until the Cervadil put me in active labor. So they put me in this special induction room by myself and the hooked up all the monitors. I dont know that the hell happened but the baby's heartbeat started to decrease significantly. They decided to not adminster the Cervadil and call the doctor. They called the doctor who told they not to give me the Cervadil but not to send me home. I had to stay until the doctor came at 9 in the morning, They told me that it was not safe to give me the medication with the baby heartbeat fluctuating like that. Plus, I actually was dialated 1 centimeter....YES! ....but I couldnt eat anything....UUGGGGHHH!!! So mike went home and I was all alone. I spent the night crying, praying, eating (lol) and reading magazines. 8am came and Mike was there bright and early. The doctor came and 8 something and told me that I was going to active labor room that I would be given Potocin right away.
The labor and delivery room was very nice and comfy. 9:30am They hooked me on to all the montiors (again). At 10am I was given the Potocin. I was fine. About 12pm I started to feel contractions but not strong. I let Mike sleep. The contractions started getting stronger and fasters (1-3mins apart). I was suprised that the stayed that way for the entire labor process. At 3pm. my water broke. Savannah's heartbeat started to become irratic again. She started to move alot so the monitor werent reading steadily. They decided to place internal monitors on her directly. The placed a long tube inside of the uterus to monitor contractions and the heartbeat monitor on her head.....it hurt like hell. This also meant I was no long to move around during contractions. The contraction began to get really strong but tolerable at 3:30-3:45pm. The only thing that was helping was the abilty to move and now that I had the monitor I could not longer do that. At that point I was only 3 centimeters. The contractions got stronger and I couldnt move get up to squat or walk around it to help it. The doctor come in and ask
