Damian arrived on April 8th of 2008!!!!


On Monday April 7th, I went in for my original ob appointment. I was expecting nothing out of the ordinary due to the fact that I still had NO contractions but I had dilated to a 2! I was thrilled. So was my ob lol! We talked about our options! We had three! Either I could wait another week, pick an inducement day or get my membranes stripped. I choose two out of the three lol!!
We stripped my membranes & off he went to find the due date of my little guy. He came in an announced tomorrow is the day. I was excited yet way nervous... Tomorrow no way. Well we went off called people and went on with our day. Scott got to sleep over that night and we were trying to stay calm so early to bed we went. ...But not for long.

At 11:30 pm my contractions hit, and they hit hard. Every three to five minutes apart... He was coming. So I thought! We got ready and went to the hospital. *arrived at 1am*
But just my luck I was only dilated to a two and a half. Along day was in store for me. I ended up having back labor and frontal labor. Talk about painful. Finally after eight hours my mother had talked me into taking the drug that last twenty minutes and gets injected into your iv. Well, ya talk about a waste lol. I ended up taking it three times and it only worked once. But the time it did I was soooo out of it!
My ob ended up coming in right after I took the drug & I didn`t even know what was going on! He broke my water & I thought I was peeing the bed, I was shouting and oh it was horrible. Finally things were coming along though. After my water broke I ended up being at a stand steal on a seven :(
But a few more hours I was at a nine and I was ready to push!!!!!! I ended up being so exhausted, I was afraid I wouldn`t be able to pull through. Finally after pushing for awhile we decided we needed help. I ended up bleeding alot, enough to freak out my ob. So we turned to the vacuum lol. A few more pushes and my bundle of joy had arrived!!!!

Talk about a painful experience but so worth it once he was placed into my arms!!!! I love you Damian!!!!
