Kainen`s birthstory

I started having contractions on Tuesday night and they were about 10 minutes apart and just felt like period cramps. on Wednesday they were 7 minutes apart. Thursday they started to get a little more intense and were 5-7 minutes apart. Finally Friday morning at 4 am they were 5 minutes apart and getting pretty intense so we went to the hospital. They checked me and I was 4 cm, admitted me at 6 and put me in a room. Around 10 they checked me again and I was still 4, at 10:30 the dr. came in and checked me and I was 6 cm and he broke me water. They started me on pitocin to get the contractions more regular. They kept asking if I wanted epidural but I was pretty set on not wanting it, and the pain just wasnt that bad. Around 11:30 they came in checked me again, I was 8 cm and the nurse said I feel any pressure to let her know, she walked out of the room I called her back in right away and she checked me again, i was 9 cm, about 15 minutes later I just knew I was ready to push I couldnt take it anymore, they moved me down on the bed and his head was right there. They made me wait to push bc the dr wasnt there yet!!!! Finally they let me start pushing I pushed for about 5 minutes and his heartrate started to drop and he was almost out so the dr. used the vaccumm and I pushed two more times and he was born!!! It was the most amazing moment of my life!!
