Oakley-Ben-Jaunay`s birthstory

Well at 12:15 in the morning i woke up to go to the toilet and when i got back into bed and lay down i heard a pop an felt a trickle, hmmm i thought that wasnt urine!! uh oh! so i got up and dry undies pad ect an lay back down in bed and gush the bed was soaked! i gave up on undies an just tried to sleep with a towel between my legs, I was having regular contractions but they just felt like alot of pressure not so much a tightening, i could doze between them but got up to eat something as i was starving hungry then i tried to sleep again but felt i was desturbing ben so i got up lite the fire and washed the dishes then got comfy on the couch, i timed contractions and they were about 5 mins apart and i was breathing through them but i still felt it was early stages as i was coping well with the pain. Ben got up at 5 30 and saw that i was having contractions 5 mins apart so he wanted me to ring the midwife as he was afraid id pop the baby out there an then, i called midwife and she said she would come out at 7am which i was happy about as i still felt it was early. she checked me and i was 5cm!! i was so happy as i was still enjoying labour just breathing through contractions, my mum came out at 8 30 and i continued to labour until around 10am things started getting a bit stronger but i was still coping well, it wasnt until 12 that they got real strong and i was starting to struggle and didnt want to do it anymore but i was at home so pain releif wasnt an option, at 1 30pm i went into transition and pushed until 1 58 when Oakley Ben was born, 9lb 9 oz a good healthy boy, i had a tear but decided to let it heal naturaly instead of having stitches. it is now the end of day 2 an i feel great!! love my boy to bits he is amazing Praise God! God really was my strength through labour, i have a very low pain threshold and God really helped me through the hardest thing iv ever done.
