Camryn-Ariyah-Stewart`s birthstory

I had to be induced due to gestational hypertension. I went into the hosptial at midnight on Thursday, July 24th. I had cytotec placed in overnight to help thin the cervix. At 6:45 am, the pitocin was started. The contractions began and were pretty bearable until they started coming every 2-3 minutes around 11:30am. At 11:30, I received an epidural to help with the pain. I was dilating very slowly due to my cervix having a band that just did not want to thin out. I was nervous thinking I would have gone through all of this only to have a cesearean, but however she got there would be fine with me. I finally was 100 percent effaced at around 5:30. I went from 6cm to 10 cm in thirty minutes. I started pushing around 6:00 and she was delivered at 6:18pm. I felt every bit of her during the pushing process as well, but all in all I had a good labor experience. I delivered a wonderful healthy little girl and she couldnt be more beautiful.
