Saniia-Kimberly`s birthstory

I had an appointment on the 13th to get my regular ultrasound done I went got checked an my babies weighted in at Baby A being 7 lbs 2 oz and Baby B beinf 5 lbs 12 oz. So the tech also realized that Baby A was takin up an ample supply of food an when the doctor looked over this he decided lets go head an induce her. I didn`t kno that though that he made this decision. I went home miserable cause I was still pregnant. Low an behold though I got a call from one of the on call doctors an he told me that my ultrasound tech doctor wants me to be induced. So with that said I was due to start the process by 4:30 pm that day. I got to the hospital anxious to finally be here at this point of my pregnanct finally. They gave me Cervadol which was like a flat version of a tampon that they put behind my cervix to ripen it. The doc said it might work or it might not. So all I could do was cross my fingers an hope for the best. Well luckily it worked an I stayed at 1 cm dilation for about a good 6-7 hours but my effacement was at about 60% an improving. Later on the nurse gave me a pain med to help me fall asleep. I was knocked out for a while....till the contractions started kickin in an getting worse. I did everything from sittin on the bouncy ball (it really works!!!) to being on my hands an knees rockin my hips while my mother massaged my lower back. So at about 3 am the midwife came in again because she was changin shifts an she told me that she wanted me to wait until I was 4 cm dilated before I got the epidural. She checked me again an finally I was 2-2 1/2 cm dilated. I was supposed to take a shower before the rest of the procedure was gonna finally start but Baby B heartrate they thought dipped again so they had to monitor her while I took another pain med an went back to sleep. Later the nurse came in at 5 am an gave me the Pictocin. Thats when things really got poppin!!! At about 9 am I was feeling the contractions like crazy. My time window is a little off but all I can remember is that at about 10 am around there I was literally on the bouncy ball cryin for an epidural. The midwife that was on call now said that I could get the epidural anytime I wanted to, or until the pain was just too much. I was tryin to hold out for as long as I could. I finally got the epidural but the guy that was putting it in couldn`t get the right place. I literally got stuck 10 times with the needle to numb the area then put the epidural in because since my back muscles were so strong from being athletic everytime I had a contraction he would lose the place an have to start all over again. So when I finally recieved it I felt better an was able to nod back off to sleep...minus the nurses coming in an checkin my cervix an dilation. I finally got to the point where the midwife broke my water bag...again I don`t remember the time lol. But, thats when the contractions came back again 10 times harder the epidural wasn`t even doin anything, they tried givin me different pain meds but they didn`t work. I was havin back contractions now that reached all the way into my buttock an that was no fun. The midwife came in an checked again an said I was 9 cm dilated an effacement was 90%. So with that they rolled me off into the OR, just because I had twins it was like a safety precaution just in cause I needed to have an emergency C-section. When delivery started I was in so much pain!! I went in the delivery room at 6 pm an had Saniia Kimberly at 6:24 pm weighing 6lbs 3oz then her sister Brianna Natasha came 7 minutes after weighing 4lbs 3oz. They had to take her to the NICU because she was so little. But afterwards I was able to hold Saniia an bond with her then go down to NICU to see Brianna. She was so little but she wasnt eating so she had to stay in NICU for 2-3 days..but shes home with mommy an sissy now
