Addison-Chey`s birthstory

I went on November 20 to my regular weekly doctor`s visit and my blood pressure was around 154/97. They sent me to the hospital, and since I was 37 weeks and 1 day, they decided to induce me. I was a 1/2 centimeter dialated when I went in and by th time they wheeled me to the labor and delivery room to induce me, I was 3 centimeters dialated. At 6:45 p.m., I was given pitocin and shortly thereafter, I got my epidural. At my hospital, they give it early, so the only pain I felt the entire delivery, was a slight menstrual pain in the bottom of my stomach. The epidural took effect about 40 minutes after it was given, and I slept til around 5:00 a.m. the next morning. I woke up and vomited and was given fenergen to stop me. At this time I was 6 centimeters dialated, and the fenergen put me out til 8:00 a.m.. When I woke up, they checked me and said I was 10 centimeters and 100% effaced. They gave me some time to wake up, and at 8:40 a.m., I started pushing. It took 3 contractions and my little bundle of joy was born. It was a painless experience and she`s doing wonderful. We did spend Thanksgiving at the hospital, but it was worth it.
