Logan-Bruce-Huntsman`s birthstory

I went to my 40 week appointment on the 19th and she stretched my cervix for the 3rd time. I started having contractions around 2pm that same day. They werent very strong, but I knew something was up. We went to the hospital around 1am and I was dialated to a 3. They put me on the machines and I was having good steady contractions but they werent progressing me so they sent me home to wait it out. The nurse said she expected to see me in around 12 hours in active labor. We went and got milk, and I remember having a contraction (in the middle of an isle) and was holding my belly breathing thru it.. when I saw double chocolate chunk muffins... and said `those look good` thru a breath. Bob just laughed at me... but I still havn`t gotten my muffins. HAHA! We went home and I soaked in a bath and we got some sleep. 12 exact hours later (the nurse was right on) we were back at the hospital. When I got there I was 3 cm, and they wouldnt keep me unless I was 4 cm. We went walking the hallways and tthe contractions got stronger and stronger. I laid back down and they checked me and I wasn`t progressing as fast as they wanted. SO they talked to my doc and she came in and checked me and decided that they would break my water in a bit to get my cervix to dialate since I was already contracting hard. A few hours later we were still stuck at 4 and I was in the tub trying to breathe through contractions that were coming every 4 minutes or so. Bob was AMAZING! He was right there telling me that they were almost over, and that he was proud of me, and I was doing great. I couldn`t have gotten through that without him. They dried me off and took me back to the bed. I asked for something to knock the edge off the contractions and they injected something that made me dizzy and tired, but it took the edge off for a few contractions and allowed me to rest. I did some hands and knees positions to get him to turn. He was head down, but his head wasn`t rotated into the right position. I slept for a lil while, and went from 4cm to 6cm then back to 4, and they gave me another shot of something that wasn`t so strong, and wouldn`t make me tired. 3 hours later I was begging for something else for pain. I wanted to hold off as long as I could. The doc came in and broke my water and there really wasnt a gush (at that point), but I did feel a bit of warm liquid. The contractions got quite a bit stronger and I said I wanted the epidural. I could hardly breathe in during contractions, so they were wearing me out. They gave me 1 more shot while we waited for the anesthesiologist. I got the epidural at 11pm and it didnt hurt, but I contracted twice during it, and when I did.. fluid gushed out and all over me, the floor and the bed. It felt like I peed, so I asked if I peed and they all said no. I had tears coming out of my eyes and was shaking in pain, I didnt know if I could hold still long enough for him to put it in. I was scared and I kept having gushes of fluid. I started crying and all I remember is the uncontrollable jerk of my back from him hitting a nerve. I just apologized uncontrollably, and cried. Mom handed me a tissue and I realized I had boogers coming out of my nose. Oh well.... That was the least of my worries. Around 5 minutes later I got my long awaited relief. OH SWEET RELIEF! I fell asleep, so did Bob. At 5am my mom asked the doctor what I was dialated to and they said 4-5. At this point I was in hard labor for around 10 hours and very little progress. The nurse said she was going to check me again at 6 and might have me just start pushing because Logans heartbeat kept dropping. Bob fell back asleep and at 6:20am the nurse came in and I told her I was feeling lots of pressure and asked her if I could push. She checked me and I could feel that she didn`t have to stick her fingers in very far. I saw the look on her face and I knew he was right there. I was gonna wait to wake bob up until after I saw how strong of a pusher I am, but for some reason I told my mom to wake him up. She said `theyre gonna have her start pushing`, and he was wide eyed and in shock. lol. I pushed once and the nurse took my hand and put it on his warm head. THERE was my power and motivation. I pushed for all I was worth and she told me to stop. The doctor came in and looked between my legs and put on her scrubs as quickly as she possibly could have. She sat down and 6 short pushes later he was out. Born at 6:46am. I was so suprised, so was the doctor. She had been feeling him and telling me that he was going to be around 8-8.5lbs. He was only 6.13. I looked up at Bob and he was tearing up, and smiling ear to ear. Logan gave a little lamb coo, and I lost it. I started bawling like a baby. He was put on my chest and I immediately saw that he looks just like his daddy. I was in awe that I dialated from 4.5 to 10 in about an hour, and he was out in just 10 pushes total. They left him with us for hours so we could bond. Thats it. I had my precious baby boy and he is as perfect as I ever imagined him!

Alianna-Alexa`s birthstory

I was having contractions all friday and Saturday. Friday night I was actually waking up with them, which hadnt happened before. They were strong braxton hicks, but werent painful or impossible to deal with. Saturday we went for a walk and the contractions started getting painful in the area my ovaries would be. I didnt have to stop through them but they made me groan, so I had a feeling this was the real thing. We got home around 8pm and I decided I should call my mom and sister and tell them what was going on. My sister was at the movie theater, but walked out leaving her poor friend to watch the movie alone. lol. They started heading here and were 2 hours away, but an hour after I called them I figured we better head to the hospital. I took a quick shower and we packed up our son and went. It was so funny to see the panic in Bob when he realized my mom and sister were still an hour away. I got to the hospital at 9, and when they laid me down in bed the contractions got really hard, and I was having to push breath through my teeth to get through them. They checked me and I was 3cm and 80% effaced. The baby was still as high as she could be. I almost cried when the nurse told me that. My mom and sister got there at 10pm. Mom took our son home and as soon as she left the contractions got even stronger! I was actually cursing through them, and cried through one. I made best friends with the spots on the ceiling and concentrated on trying to `blow them off ` during contractions. At 11pm I just couldnt take it anymore. I could barely take a breath in, so I told Bob to get the doc to give me an epidural. I felt like a wuss since I had only been there an hour and a half. During contractions I could feel her head pushing down and it felt like she was forcing my cervix open and I actually felt popping, and it hurt like heck! They checked me and I was at a 5. After getting the epidural I could still move my legs, it was awesome. at 12:15am the nurse came in and made me roll onto my side to make sure my blood pressure didnt spike and as I rolled over I felt a release of pressure and a pop. I told her my water broke and she looked at me like she didnt believe me. She got a q-tip and checked the fluid and sure enough.... it had broke. Then I told her that I was feeling pressure. She once again looked at me like I didnt know what I was talking about, but she said she would be back to check me. She decided to check me before walking out of the room and she said I was completely dialated and her head was REALLY low. We all got excited and the doctor came in, got everything ready and told me to push. 1st push and Bob said `OMG she has a TON of hair!` I was amazed he could see her head already. 2nd push and the doc asked my sister if she wanted to see. My sister said `I will wait until this contraction is over, and ask if I can` The doctor told her that she better look now because I was delivering. 3rd push and Bob said `OMG she is so little!` I couldnt believe it, but she was out. She came out with her hands above her head. I guess she had a really short cord, so they couldnt put her on my belly right away, but the doctor was holding her with one hand. It was insanely fast! She has light black fuzz all over her back, shoulders, thighs, and temples. Doc said she was to term because the placenta was starting to `get old`. So we know... we just have small babies! I am in love with her from the first second I saw her! She has super long eyelashes just like her brother. The perfect addition. Thank you for reading!
