Ethan-Hunter-Davis`s birthstory

On June 26th around 10:00pm I started having terrible contractions, so bad I was unable to walk or talk through them. I decided to go to bed and about 3:00am I realized this was something different than regular contractions so we went to the hospital. When we got there I was 3cm. dilated and they decided to keep me. I received my epidural around 6:00am and I was 4cm. dilated by then. Around 8:30am I was 5 cm. dilated and we decided to have my water broken. Unfortunately at 12:00pm I had just dilated to 6 cm. and nothing more so they started me on pitocin. From there on I pretty much did nothing and hung out with family until I began to feel pressure down below and a lot of dizziness. At 7:45 pm. I felt like I couldn`t handle the pressure anymore and I needed to push so everyone minus my husband, mom and mother in law were asked to leave any my midwife (who was scheduled to leave at 8:00pm!) was able to stay for the delivery. It took me only 20 min. to push but I felt everything which made it feel like it lasted forever. Once they gave me my baby boy I was happier than I have ever been. He`s such an amazing blessing and even though it`s been a week since I`ve slept, I can`t imagine anything better than this. :)
