Molly-Elizabeth`s birthstory

My little Molly was breech so we had to schedule a C section. We scheduled it for 6 days before my due date. It was a rough morning for me. I was a mess. I couldn`t stop crying. I was soooo nervous about the surgery. We got to the hospital at 6am and the nurses started getting me ready for surgery. They put in my IV which hurt more than anything else. And then the cathider which wasn`t as bad as I thought. Since I was crying non stop I had a nice older nurse help me through all the prepping. Everytime someone came in to talk to me I started to cry. I had an ultrasound by my doctor to make sure she was still breech. She was! She was moving all around as this was al happening. I guess she knew it was time to come out. At exactly 8am they wheeled me down the hall to the OR. My husband waited outside until I got the spinal. His mother and sister had already arived and Eric went to see them in the waiting room. He broke down. Its was hard for him to see he so scared. The spinal wasn`t bad at all. I only felt the first pinch of numbing medicine. I went numb really fast. I think that might have been the worst part of it all. I was freaking out because I couldn`t feel my legs or move my feet. It was the worst feeling ever. They started to open me up and then they called Eric in. He saw me open. Yuck! He decided not to watch after he saw that. I was having a really hard time with the pressure. Eric stayed right in my face for all of it. I was so scared. Then she said here is her bum! And then she started to cry. We both just lost it and started sobbing. It was the best sound in the world! She was so tiny and had a full head of dark hair. They brought her to Eric and I got to kiss her. She is so beautiful! Then they took her back to the room while I finished up in surgery. About 10 min later...I got to hold her. They wheeled me back to my room and our whole family was there waiting. i lost it again as I saw them. I cried for hours it felt like. I got to nurse her soon after that. It was amazing! I just couldn`t stop looking at her. I still can`t believe she was inside me. She is a mommys girl already! She was fake nursing for a few days. A nursing consultant helped us out and now she is a champ. She was a little jondice for a few days because she wasn`t eating much. She is fine now and her color is great! I was up and out of bed the next morning. It wasn`t half s bad as I thought it would be. I`m still sore from time to time but I am recovering pretty fast. The bleeding has almost stopped. I comes and goes day to day. My incision looks great! They glued me shut. They put stiches in the inside and glue the outside. So there will be less scarring and I don`t have to go back to the doctor till December. I think the worst part now is going to the bathroom. Its not easy. It hurts to push and the medicine binds me up. My belly is gone now! Its so wierd how fast it happened. I can fit into some of my pants but it still hurst to have pressure on the incision so I live in sweat pants for now.

Ok I could go on and on and on...... but thats my story. The best day of my life!
We are so madly in love with our little girl.
