A PRINCE IS BORN!!! My real contraction started at 7:30 pm Thursday night 5/22/08. I was amazingly able to sleep through the night between all my contractions. We went to the Birthing Center at 8:50 am 5/23/2008. I was 6 cm dilated 100% effaced. My really hard contractions began at around 10:30 am. I got in the soaking tub at about 10:45 am. They broke my water and I Started Pushing at 11:28 am and 8 minutes later at 11:36 My beautiful son was in my arms. This was the most awesome experience and I`m so thankful that we decided to come to the Birthing Center. Of course I can`t put in to words the intensity of emotions we felt as I pushed for the final time and my baby appeared. They brought him out of the water and handed him o me on my chest. They let his umbilical cord finish pulsing before they allowed my husband to cut it. Our baby let out a cute little cry at first and hasn`t cried once since. I had a couple visitors and just came home a few hours later. No episiotomy, no drugs, some pain that was all worth it and I have my perfect baby! He slept through the whole night last night, his first night home. How great is that?!!!
