Sylvia-Annette`s birthstory

I went in to be induced on the morning (12 am) of the 13. The hospital was having problems with another patient so after being on pitocin for about 6 hours they took me off of it. They said they could not watch the other patient and me at the same time because of her blood pressure.

After about an hour of being off the pitocin they hooked me up again. With in an hour I was asking for an epidural. It took the dr over an hour to get my epi in place. During this time he gave me 2 test shots. My body reacted badily with so much of the meds. My blood pressure dropped to 88/44. They gave me a shot to brig it back up.. The dr did not start the drip but told me when I started feeling the contractions again to tell the nurse. I told the nurse I was feeling the contractions and she told me no it was just pressure. The other nurses had not told her the doc did not start the drip. By the time the baby was born I was not numb any more. I pushed out my 8 lb 6 oz chid with no pain relief.
She is so worth it all though.
