Anya-Jael-Singh`s birthstory

Overdue by 2 days, on 16.03.09 I went to collect a letter from my OB that`d admit me to hospital later that night for induction. When i got to his office @ 12:15pm, he said he had surgery next morning and `he` would have a clash! So... long and short is he sent me to hospital right away, i was so unprepared, no bags with me, nothing, i ended up doing the next best thing - i cried, from his office to hospital admissions to my room. Hmmph!

There i was alone in this room with my backside hanging out. (My fiance went to get bags and his sister), then at 2:15pm, nurse came and inserted pill `prostin?`. Only outcome of that was baby stiffening up now and again. At 9:38pm another nurse came and inserted prostin again, i sear she was looking for God! But that one did as at 4:15am, i heard a loud pop [thought it was my pelvic bones], it was my water bag bursting and down came the floods! /i began to shake at this point, reality finally caught up with me: shame!

17TH MARCH 2009
5:14am: The pains started 5 mins apart lasting 30 seconds, btw it really DOES feel like period cramps, 1.5cm @ this point. This kept up for the next hours, i must say if it wasn`t for my SIL i would`ve lost it, fright alone would`ve gotten me good. WOW, let`s move on.....

10:30am my cup runneth over, my limit on pain was here. i had sil massaging lower back for each contraction 3 mins apart 3.5cm, CRAZY! My doctor still in surgery at other hospital. 11:48am, i got my cell and called that motherf#c*er and told him i`m in unbearable pain, where are you? he in turn called nurses made them give me drips that sent me straight to 1 min apart contractions and feeling to pee and take a motherload dump at the same time [just the head pushing].

12:36pm they wouldnt let me go to toilet so i called my other half and tell him get me an epidural, he instead called doc who told him No and stay in the lobby away from me: Bastard, I NEVER SAW HIM AFTER THAT!!! lol. 12:45 nurse checked 7 cm doc came 15 mins later i was 9 cm and sent for delivery. I was so mad at doc, i told him i want to put my foot around his neck, and i don`t want see any afterbirth, umbilical chord nor baby, i know i was a little out there. and would you believe during delivery he told nurses that i`m bossy! Huh? Me? Anyway, had episiotomy 4 stitches. PS, the pain is horrible, but almost bearable, though i said i`m not going to do again, i didn`t shed a tear for labour or delivery. Goodluck!
